Can't really rate the food as we did not eat, but we hung out at the awesome roof top bar and had delicious drinks! Awesome gulf views and trendy outdoor furniture takes this place up a notch from the others on the Seawall, it's a cool place as we stopped by on our bikes (Which they do not have a bike rack) which is rare on the seawall. I can say it is a little pricey, even the drinks.

The food is great! The service is attentive and excellent and the sea view is perfect. I will be going back. Really enjoyed it.

Everything we ate was delicious. Especially loved the Steak, shrimp cocktail and scallop appetizer. The decor is tasteful and seating was comfortable. Our server was as fun and attentive. Will definitely go back.

I really wanted to like this place since we live here. The service was outstanding! As were the drinks. Atmosphere is also cool. But the food left much to be desired…the scallops did not need to have spicy pepper sauce, fresh seafood speaks for itself and doesn’t require overseasoning. The chicken was extremely salty. And the squash was so hard we had to send it back. Couldn’t get the knife nor fork through it. Maybe on Sunday nights they have a different chef? We read all this wonderful reviews prior to going. That’s my only explanation since all 3 dishes were not up to par.

The Fancy is a restaurant that Galveston needed. We were staying at the Lucine for our anniversary weekend, and of course we had to check out their restaurant, The Fancy. We came on a Sunday night with a reservation. The restaurant wasn't overly packed but wasn't empty either so we were seated right away. First thing you notice is the mid century modern design, dim lights and overall a romantic feel. Our server Philip was super nice and pleasant. The menu is pretty simple, and is meant to be shared family style. We decided to get 4 dishes to share for the two of us. BIBB and butter greens salad was nice. Greens were fresh and the dressing was refreshing. The quinoa was great for the added crunch. Light enough to get our appetite going. Jumbo lump crab toast. Nice big chunks of crab and tasted fresh. The toast was ever so slightly on the overdone side, but we still enjoyed it very much. Bucatini. I think this was our least favorite dish. It wasn't a bad dish per se, but just didn't enjoy it as much as the rest of our meal. Maybe it just didn't go well with the rest of our meal, or perhaps just overshadowed by the snapper since they both came out the same time. Roasted gulf snapper. Easily the best dish! The snapper was cooked perfectly - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The Soubise sauce was so good we asked for toast to mop it up and finish it! Butter cake. Best dessert to end a great meal. The cake was brûléed which added a great crunch and caramelization. It's basically a crème brûlée butter cake! Overall this place is easily one of the best restaurants in Galveston. Definitely check it out. Only negative really was despite putting on our reservation that it was our anniversary, no one from the staff greeted us or offered us complementary bubbles or dessert - no biggie but definitely something you'd get at other "fancy" restaurants.

Overall, we had an excellent dinner at The Fancy. The food was very creative and delicious, the service was great, and I loved the well curated wine list and cocktails. We can't wait to come back!

Finally, a great new restaurant in Galveston! Very good food and drinks (be ready to pay city prices on the island). Cool renovated retro hotel and nice dining room. Cozy, somewhat dark and relaxed atmosphere. Not loud. Loved it!

Nice restaurant but definitely not prepared for Valentines Day with reservations. Very limited menu should mean good order turnaround. Sat for 1 hr. before asking for check and then "all of a sudden" food showed up after it was too late. House salad was good, but, that is all that was eaten. Service was good, but, won't go back.

From the confusing "special" Valentine's "menu" ( not "special", just a conglomeration of standard menu a la carte items) that the server couldn't even explain, to the wine server who told us she had never drank wine and that she didn't even know what a sommelier was, to the cold and over-cooked $68 steak without sides, to the dry pork chops, to the dirty dishes left on the table, to the ( we were guessing) $65 cost of just three 3oz wine pairings ??, to the slow service, to the fact that they ran out of their featured oyster appetizer by 7:45 so they put a 6 oyster limit per table, to the failure to bring a wine glass, dining became a comical experience. Sadly, this restaurant is nowhere near ready for primetime. It literally felt like a friend's and family soft opening that did not go well.

The food was fantastic. Service great. The tables were too close together and we had no choice but to listen to a valentine's first date at the table next to us. The male talked non-stop and very loudly. You had to turn sideways to get between the tables they were that close. Would recommend some space between tables for the price we paid for the meal.

From the hostess to our wonderful server, Philip, the food was amazing! The roasted chicken, pork Ragu, the wine and atmosphere are amazing! Our server also gave us a tour of the bar area, the Den and the upstairs patio! I highly recommend The Fancy and Hotel Lucine!

The drinks and food are so unique and delicious. I tried the Green Eyed Ginvy cocktail - light and refreshing! We had the Potato Chips with Tuna as an appetizer - always so crisp with a great flavor of rosemary. It is a large bowl so plenty for the table to share. We had the gulf snapper and the roast chicken - the sauces on both of these are out of this world flavorful! Dessert was a warm butter cake with cherry crème on top - delicious! Our server, Diane, was attentive and such a delight. Once again, The Fancy was terrific! We will be back soon ❤️

Very limited menu! The food was good but the snapper sauce was bland. Husband enjoyed pork chop. Mussels were very good as well as the Caesar salad with crawfish croutons. Service was very good , quick to remove empty plates and replace eating utensils. The chair was too low and quite uncomfortable. Put a cushion on chair seat !! The ginvy cocktail was more ice than drink ($14 for mostly ice!) No need to go back or recommend it. Disappointed in that we thought this was going to be a new great restaurant close by.

The vibe of this new restaurant is super cool! The food and service is on par with Galveston's top 5 restaurants. It was also great to see our favorite chef from Fish Taco Company. We will definitely be back and this time stay at the hotel.

Portions were small considering they were advertised as family style portions. Side dishes were delicious but definitely not able to feed more than one person. Deserts were delicious
