The restaurant has a good atmosphere and the food was really good. We sat on the second level which over looks the boat docks so it gave us something to look at while eating.Parking: There are several businesses using the same small parking area (marina, two resturants, and some spaces are labeled "office staff"), so it is a busy area with vehicle (including golf carts) and fills up fast. I was lucky to get a parking spot when I arrived but it was the only one available.

Food was good when it got to the table but was already starting to get cold. We sat ourselves, as instructed and it took 20 minutes to get a greeting. The silverware was dirty, 3 times. Birds flying all around indoors and out and they will land on your table and drop while you are eating. Not a fan.

Highly recommend this spot if you're in the area! My girlfriend's and I were on a long weekend trip and had never been to Galveston before. We found this place via Yelp and I am so grateful for the ease of discovering such a fun and yummy restaurant! We ended up coming back for dinner the next night after enjoying our Sunday brunch so much. If it's warm enough I highly recommend sitting outside on the deck that overlooks the marina and water. Great boat watching and place to get drinks, food and chill with company. Our service was great, drinks and food were good. For lunch I had a bloody Mary (amazing) and breakfast tacos (good). For dinner I had the West End Mule cocktail (amazing), fried pickles appetizer (soooo yummy) and the BBQ shrimp for meal and it was delicious I ate the entire thing. Also recommend the salads, cheeseburger, fries, ceviche and shrimp apps! Would definitely come back if we're ever in the area again!

They served me some of the best gumbo I've ever had. It was so delicious and the fish tacos were really good also. The service was good and so were the views from the second floor.

This place seriously needs some work, so much potential and such a let down. Go you might get lucky and have a good time.

The ceviche was great and the shrimp kisses were delicious however…..my daughter ordered a cheeseburger with no lettuce and add avocado. An hour after I was finished with my ceviche and shrimp she received her cheeseburger with lettuce and no avocado ?Also we set there for over 30 minutes waiting for a Dr Pepper and a Margarita ☹️

I'm not much of a seafood fan so my food options were limited. That being said, if you are on the "Island" and are anywhere near or West of Jamaica Beach you Must visit the Sand Bar. Ample seating, Great Location (use GPS), Stephanie is Awesome. I went early on a weekday so limited customers and brought my dog. I thought drinks were priced exactly where they should be. I will be back.Lots of photos to show the entire bar.Update... Came here lateish, (9:15) with a party of 8. They seemed to be ready to shutdown, but still took very good care of us. We all ordered food along with appetizers. 5 stars guys. You ROCK???

Wow can I just start with that. I had to go get my own menus. They are all sitting around smoking and vaping. The tables have old food on them for no telling how long. The birds are just eating the plates beside us. Ordered the over priced alcoholic drinks and I seriously doubt there’s any alcohol at all in them we are one of 3 tables in here with 4-6 servers and we have all been waiting over an hour. Absolutely terrible service food and drinks. Nasty and dirty establishment. They have ants on the floors biting you. If I could give no stars I would. Save your money it’s not worth the over priced food and drinks and you will need 2 hours to get your food

I spend a month in Galveston every October. We frequently go to the West end restaurant. I always order the cold boiled shrimp. This time the shrimp were obviously frozen thawed and served. Absolutely no taste. There’s no reason for this they have a bait camp next door. They use to serve fresh not frozen shrimp. Won’t be going back. Another 2 customers lost due to poor management decisions.

Let me start by saying what a wonderful job our server, Dami did. She had only been there a week but she was 5 star. Billy- GM and Brad the manager had everything ready for us . Food was great. Shrimp kisses, fish n chips and the Cajun seafood nachos were a big hit and a big order, FYI. Great setting overlooking water and marina .
