Laid back and a little under staffed. They were apologetic and were quick once we got our orders in. Food was really good. They serve soda, lemonade and iced tea. Not on any menu for some reason.

The man standing at the bottom of the stairs taking names is just awful and rude. The staff are all running around like they’re lost. The bartender was slammed and drinks were spilling left and right. The food came out cold. One of the burgers had a red bread tie in it and half of our food was missing.This place has bit off more than it can chew!Bigger is not always better. Quality and experience is lacking desperately.
This is the best restaurant to eat at on the whole island if you ask me, the food is good, the service is great.

Good service and that's the only star. Everything was gross. If you like flies, birds, and dogs all around - then it's your place. Lobster bisque was yellow and tasted like cheese soup with 1 bite of chewy lobster. Coconut shrimp was ok. Fish was flat, dry, chewy, and 7/8ths batter with 1/8 fish. Same with chicken fried steak. Crab legs were ok.

If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. The RUDEST staff I have ever experienced at a restaurant. I didn’t even get to try the food because we sat there for almost 30 minutes before any one came over to take our drink order. Finally, we ordered. No joke, an hour and 15 minutes later, still no food. We had 4 kids with us at the table with NO FOOD. We had all stood up to leave and the manager finally walks up with our food. (We had inquired several times before this). She didn’t care at all that we were unhappy but instead laughed and shouted “all right guys, (talking to her staff) buffet for everyone!” I would never go back here if it was the last food on the whole island. I’d rather go fishing and cook my own food over a fire than go here.

This review is about dinner at the Sandbar. Food was good. Waiter forgot about us for a bit due to being busy. The Atmosphere was good and made up for service. I would recommend this place and we would try again!

Fried Pickles- they do them right- way to go WEM! if you are on the west end of Galveston definitely worth checking out. Everyone was super friendly and seemed to enjoy being there. No Montucky Cold Snacks but the bloody Marys are on point.
