We fully enjoyed our meal! This is authentic southern Italian all the way. The pasta is made fresh on site and we could taste the fresh ingredients in all the dishes we ordered. The portions are perfect size and even though we left full, we didn’t feel bloated and gross. That’s the sign of quality ingredients! The owner, Pina is wonderful! We chatted for a bit after our meal. This will be a definite stop for us next time we’re back in Galveston!

Average Italian place. I had more expectations since it was recommended by many people. Food is average, waiters are friendly. Not the high end Italian plate. Wide variety of wine

We were in town for a meeting and a local foodie recommended this restaurant as a place for my wife and I to have dinner. It's outward appearance is a tad underwhelming, but inside it's charming and we came foe the food! We sat on a small enclosed patio and enjoyed more space than inside as well as a gentle breeze. The service was wonderful. The beverage list offered everything we wanted. The bread (and all the pasta) is made on site. I had the Ravioli Pesce and it was delightful. Lisa had the Veal Scalapini and she found it equally perfectly cooked and superb in taste. We took home the cheesecake and it was very light and delicate. The Trattoria La Vigna is on our short list of excellent places to eat. We are already scheming reasons to go back to Galveston just for another meal. We would give even more stars if we could.

I throughly enjoyed this place! The food was excellent. We had the octopus salad which was delicate and excellently flavored. Also the table olive oil is flavorful and aromatic, the salad that came with our entree was delicious and salad dressing was perfectly seasoned. We had the Zuppa de Pesce which was was excellent! The pasta was homemade and the seafood cooked to perfection. For dessert we had the cannoli. Highly recommend for authentic Italian food! I felt like I was eating in Italy.

Booked a reservation for 7:30 pm. Upon entering restaurant, they stated it would be 30 min for a table we reserved. They could set us up outside, but would not seat us in the restaurant. Two couples enter after us and were seated immediately in the restaurant. The entire experience felt discriminatory towards my significant other who upon entering they observed that she has a visible physical disability. Their entire demeanor changed and we were told we could only eat outside after that. I would ask others in the community to not reward this behavior.

Wow. The food here is sooo good. Fresh pasta, fresh bread. Had the octopus salad, veal marsala and tiramisu. Every morsel was exquisite. The best Italian food in Houston/ Galveston.

All the food was delicious. It was very authentic. On top of that the service was good and the price was very reasonable. The fresh pasta was delicious. Both Ravioli sauces were out of this world. We ordered the Mediterranean style Octopus, Italian antipasto, Bolognese, Ravioli with mushroom cream sauce, Ravioli Pesce, Veal Campagnola, and tiramisu for dessert. We tried this for the first time and will definitely come back again.

We visited Trattoria La Vigna a few weeks ago for dinner. This is a staple for us as we have been Galveston residents for just over a year. Currently the City of Galveston is working on a road project nearby and my mother tripped and fell before we arrived injuring herself. The restaurant staff we above and beyond to accommodate our request for assistance in the unfortunate events before arriving and the owner herself Chef Pina came to our table to aid my mother. Her concern and care for our well being went well above and beyond the empathy I would expect at chain establishments. The food was fantastic as well - she makes her very own sausage when it is available and it is absolutely decadent! I Highly recommend this to locals and visitors alike. - *Update* Chef Pina is still doing an exceptional job! Food is amazing! I love the atmosphere and make trips here at least monthly. It is worth every penny.
