Unfortunately the Vegan Combo dish I have was terrible and informed the employee before I left the place but her response was very unprofessional! The place were very dirty and nasty! Honestly the food used to be better than this!

The food is OK. The restaurant is a filthy, hole in the wall. To add insult to injury, we had to pay extra for the sauce (chutney) and water! This is the first time in my whole life, where a restaurant didn't have free water to drink!! Also, there is hardly any place to sit an eat there!!!

Best place hands down. I tried this food for the first time 4 years ago & fell in love. As the years passed, I moved out of the area. Tried other Ethiopian places near me but they never exceeded my expectations in taste like Star Bukris has. Anytime I crave it, I gladly take the 30min drive. The veggie combo & doro wot is my go-to comfort food

My wife raves about the chicken quesadilla ( at a traditional Ethiopian restaurant- go figure ! ! ), however since my wife is a Chx quesadilla expert, I take her word as gospel. I typically get the beef tibbs w/ greens & the unique Ethiopian "dry" cottage cheese. Simply outstanding! ! Have been going here for years. Know what you want and call ahead first as they do not have an on-line menu. They do a brisk takeout business on Sat & Sundays. Just a few small tables that are usually full. Designed mostly for takeout- don't count on adequate seating. Grab it to go - you will not be disappointed.

Food was really good, really spicy and service was great! I placed an order for pickup and it was ready in 15 mins. The veg plate is amazing! It comes with 5-6 veggies and all havecso much flavor. Now I ordered the lamb tibs and they needed flavor or seasoning it was a bit plain but delicious. I wouldn't recommend to come and eat in the restaurant it's really small in a weird neighborhood but ordering takeout is the way to go! Portion are big as well. I am satisfied with this restaurant
