Last night my husband and I had an amazing dinner at Alma ! I knew it was going to be good because so many of our friends had glowing reviews, but we just didn't know how good... Our personable and knowledgeable server Franky, recommended the Hells Eggs with candied bacon, and chili pop rocks. They did not disappoint! The Puerto Rican style barbecue Carnitas pizza was very good. We sat at the chefs counter. I really enjoyed watching Luis make the pizzas from scratch. The maple glazed pork belly was my favorite bite of the night. The sweet potato and maraschino cherry was the perfect combination, I did not know that I needed, but I promise you I will think about again. The most memorable part of our evening was having chef prepare a ceviche tasting. We loved watching the food being prepared, talking and interacting with the chefs, sipping great wine, and enjoying an amazing date night at Alma. My advice is, make a reservation, sit at the counter given the opportunity, and explore the menu!

We've been several times and service is great and food incredible. We love fried green tomatoes that comes with an arugula salad. Also the Chilean sea bass and the salmon was delicious.

Great ambiance and decor. The cocktails were delicious and their ceviche sampler served with popcorn were unique and tasty. For entrees, we had the duck and tenderloin. Both were on the heavier end specially with the sauces, but were still tasty. Would highly recommend the happy hour.

Food was ok. Nothing memorable. Service was outstanding & I would def go back to have a few expresso martinis. ? Pricey for what you get, but is close enough & easy to get a reservation on a Saturday evening.

We really enjoy Alma, and go about once a month. Their menu is fresh and inventive. Their new happy hour is worth getting there early for. Main course items are changed often enough to keep you coming back to try something new. One mainstay is my favorite, the fried green tomato salad.

We had a lovely meal yesterday evening. The service was outstanding, and the restaurant is beautifully appointed. There was a wide variety of pricing on the menu, which was nice to see. I had the scallops, and the dish was good but a tiny bit too salty. However, my husband loved the pizza (the crust in particular) and my mother-in-law enjoyed her filet mignon. Wine pours could have been a little more generous, but it is good to see another fine dining restaurant in Georgetown.

Food was very good, certainly different but a new experience. Service was top notch and the ambiance very relaxed

Met the in-laws for dinner at Alma. They'd eaten there previously, so we knew about the restaurant's location in an assisted living facility. We shared quite a few things: Shiner Bock beer bread, hell's eggs, honey fried rotisserie chicken, black garlic cured beef tenderloin, vanilla scented U10 scallops and SP's grand dessert tasting (4 items). My favorites were the scallop and beef tenderloin dishes & the butterscotch pudding dessert. These were absolutely delicious - I'd order them again. Service was professional and on point. Both the hostess and our server were attentive from start to finish. Note: If you're outside on the patio, or inside looking out of their lovely floor-to-ceiling windows, be prepared to look out at the either the parking lot or part of the building. Perhaps adding large planters or some such will soften those harsh views. Also, bring a sweater. Midway through our meal, the a/c temp was lowered. It got so cold in our area, I couldn't stop shivering.

The restaurant was beautifully designed. The initial service was slow and not set-up well. We kept waiting for water and silverware. Once that hiccup was overcome--the rest of the evening went Amazing. The server had great feedback and food suggestions. We had the ceviche sampler and deviled eggs and i cannot say enough positive about either of them--highly recommend. I had the Scallop w polenta and my husband had the steak w/ fingerling potatoes. I can honestly say they were the best scallops i have every had although the polenta was a bit salty. The steak was PERFECTLY cooked and plating was stellar. The heaven/hell dessert was absolute magic--listen to the way you are supposed to eat it!! Great experience--defintiely a place to visit again.

We have been to Alma's several times, but this the first time that we had some problems with the food. The Caesar salad was fairly spicy and two carnitas pizzas were and both had burnt areas on the crust. We have always enjoyed everything there and will come back again, but felt that you needed to know this.

We eat at Alma's frequently. Tonight's food not as good as usual. The fish tacos were soggy. Had great cream of asparagas soup, but only a bow(large) was available. On this cold night I wished a cup of soup was available as a starter. Also wish they had a good side salad as a starter. Only very large salads are available.

It was our first time there this past weekend. We had a weekend reservation. Just tad expensive, but definitely a five star experience!
