Food & Drink: The pour over and chemex are so good. Haven't tried the food yet.Ambiance: Lots of seating. Indoor and outdoor. It's picturesque in several places. The art is nice.Kid friendly: yes, people bring their kids and they do fine. There's a couch and coffee table by it.Service: I don't know his name but there's a barista that's really knowledgeable about coffee and he makes the coffee taste better just by describing it. He knows the region, flavor notes, etc and helped me out by steering me toward mugs as opposed to the disposable cups. It changed the flavor of the coffee, especially as it cooled down.

For me the lattes has a weird aftertaste. We ordered 4 and they just don’t taste right to me. I guess it is just what type of drink you like that depends on if you like this place.

Oh, Lamppost. How I love the. Ok, good and bad - absolutely delicious coffee. We had it every day of our 5 day trip to see family. My husband even said it was as good as the coffee he had in Italy. The bad - when you go home you’ll be ruined. The perfectly acceptable coffee at home is no longer enough.

Cute place. Freshly roasted coffee was tasty. My cortado was more like a cappuccino.

Nestled within the vibrant heart of Georgetown Square, Lamppost Coffee emerges as a beacon for coffee aficionados and remote workers alike. On a day that beckoned for exploration, my discovery of this local haunt offered a glimpse into the communal and caffeinated soul of the city. Here's my take on the experience:---Upon entering Lamppost Coffee, the lively buzz of conversation and the clatter of keyboards immediately enveloped me. The café's atmosphere, charged with the energy of a young and casual crowd, presented a snapshot of modern café culture at its finest. It was apparent that this was a favored spot for both work and leisure, with patrons engrossed in their laptops or engaged in lively discussions, all the while savoring their coffee and pastries.Compelled by the array of choices, I indulged in an Espresso Milkshake and a Hot Mocha. The Espresso Milkshake was a revelation—a perfect fusion of coffee's robust essence with the indulgent sweetness and coolness of a classic milkshake. It served not only as a delightful pick-me-up but also as a testament to Lamppost Coffee's inventive approach to coffee. The Hot Mocha, on the other hand, was a harmonious blend of rich chocolate and espresso, balanced with just the right touch of sweetness. It encapsulated the comforting warmth of a traditional mocha, elevating it with a depth of flavor that beckoned the taste buds for more.Although my experience did not extend to the pastries, the sheer number of patrons enjoying them alongside their coffees hinted at their quality. The sight of flaky, buttery pastries and the occasional waft of baked goods were enough to pique my curiosity for a future visit. In conclusion, Lamppost Coffee stands out not just for its exceptional coffee but also for the ambiance it cultivates—a space where creativity, community, and caffeine converge. Whether you're seeking a serene spot to work, a cozy corner for conversation, or simply a top-notch coffee experience, Lamppost Coffee promises and delivers on all fronts. As for the pastries, they remain a tantalizing mystery, but one I'm eager to explore upon my next visit.

I wish they had more indoor seating. Just really want a cute place to go do homework since I have no space at my home and there’s never any

The cute place to stop while exploring the town.I wish I could give it five stars but the customer service was OKThere wasn’t really any conversation or friendliness. It was just by your coffee wait and leave. The coffee itself was different than anything I’ve had before I ended up throwing it out but I’m sure it’s an acquired taste, so I’m not giving it less than four stars. My son, on the other hand loved it.They also let us bring the dog in which is a huge deal. We usually don’t go to places unless they allow the dog in because he wants to leave their dog in the car. They had water available so we could give the dog a little bit of water after our long walk so again that was awesome.I would probably come back, but I would order something different for sure, or maybe get their attention a little bit better and get an understanding of what they make that I might like
