A nicely redone antique shop in downtown gladewater we stopped in weary and in need of a drink and a good meal. The waitress although kind was not helpful in making suggestions. We were served our draft beer and my canned seltzer quickly no complaints there--at least they have beers and a seltzer option. They do not have a full bar. We ordered the crawfish queso as an appetizer. I do not recommend this item at all. It was watery-- slide off the tortilla chip watery and no flavor not to mention the high price. My husband ate the crawfish tails out of it but I did not touch it after two tastes. We paid our tab and went to another restaurant not wanting to complain or risk trying any other food items.

My wife and I have been here many times. Unfortunately the service and quality have been in a downward trajectory for the last year. At some point you have to stop making excuses and get your act together. Our visit last night will be our last. The service was exceptionally bad and to be honest the quality of the food was lacking. They charge a lot for their food, and sometimes it’s worth the money but just not recently. They try to do a lot OK instead less really well. Our waitress was new but had no idea what customer service is. We will get our crawfish and gumbo elsewhere from now on.

We keep coming back for the queso, and are rewarded with great food and service. My husband loves the catfish acadian, the portion is large and he usually has leftovers. We like the queso as much as our favorite Tex-mex spot. I enjoy the fried catfish, don’t forget to sprinkle the Cajun dust on it that you’ll find on the table. Lately, a server named Landry has been taking care of us, she’s great and friendly, ask for her and you won’t be disappointed in the service like some reviewers have been.

Being a Cajun from South Louisiana, it has been difficult to find a good solid place to eat on a consistent basis. Since I work in Gladewater I figured why not, let's do it. I ordered the crawfish etoufee and asked the waitress what the Cajun Trinity was as it was listed in the description. What I was told was correct! The etoufee was legitimately authentic, everything that was essential into making the roux was there. Plus the rice was on point along with the crawfish. The French bread was just fluffy enough. Next go around will be some gumbo!

Was in Gladewater on a day trip and Booshay's was recommended for lunch by one of the local store owners. This place is incredible, the best Cajun food for miles around, service that beats any you've ever seen, and a really fun eclectic bar area. Can't wait to go back during warmer weather to check out the outdoor and upper deck seating. This place has it all!

Christmas Eve Eve, the place was hopping. Party of 4 , we had bout 20-25 minute wait. Little short-handed, but team pulled together. Our table ordered catfish plates. The wait for entree was short. Appetizer( fried pickles) was hot an tasty. 6 minutes later meal was brought. Catfish was super hot & fresh. The meat of filets was sweet & creamy tasting. Couldn’t ask for any thing better.Took dessert home. Home made bread pudding, was it fabulous!Highly recommend for sweet tooth.Been to BooShays many times, my favorite SEAFOOD place in Longview area…..Keep it up!!

First time eating Booshay's - ordered to go. We decided to get The Swampbuster it is supposed to feed two. Comes with fried catfish, shrimp, oysters, crawfish tails, and gator. With French fries, coleslaw, hush puppies, and Cajun bean soup.We substituted oysters for more crawfish tails, coleslaw for more hush puppies and wanted chicken and sausage Gumbo instead of the beans soup it comes with.Got home and there was 1 catfish strip, 2 hush puppies, a bunch of crawfish tails, 4 shrimp and a couple of gator. Plus I ended up getting the bean soup instead of the Gumbo soup I ordered.Decided to take the soup back. (We didn't take everything else back because I was super hungry and started eating. Not even realizing we got cheated!) The lady told my boyfriend that 3 strips of fish are supposed to come with it and 4 hush puppies. Mind you we only got two plus ordered extra! We got the correct soup and she ended up putting 2 hush puppies in the bag!! Sadly enough we paid almost $40 for an appetizer! To say the least, it was definitely a terrible experience ordering out and we will not be ordering anymore food from them!

Food was good and waitress was helpful by describing food and allowing samples for unfamiliar sauces. Grilled shrimp, fried okra, French fries, and hamburger were rated as excellent by those ordering these items. The Étouffée was more oily than I expected, but the seasonings with the crawfish were great. My biggest complaint about the restaurant is the lack of disclosure about paying a bill. Nowhere was a sign posted stating that the restaurant charges 3+% for using a credit card. Overall, the food service was great but I can’t give them a 5 for overall service since they did not offer the customer the service of notifying them about methods of payment and allowing them to choose whether to avoid a fee for a credit card payment. We did not know this fee was charged by the restaurant until we checked our credit card statement against our receipt the next day. Yes, we get rewards but the reward is below the 3+% range making our meal more costly than what is shown on the receipt.

Great food and great atmosphere. Portions are huge so won’t go away hungry. Excellent selection of beers on tap and plenty of TV’s to watch sports at the bar.

This was our second visit to Booshays and it was great both times! We had the steak sandwich with fries and lunch shrimp basket with mashed potatoes (instead of fries and added hushpuppies). Both were great! Just the right amount of seasoning on the fries, and the hushpuppies have some kind of seasoning that is great! The shrimp was cooked just to perfection and my husband loved the steak sandwich. They do have several things on the menu they are not currently offering because of the current times. There was still plenty of variety in my opinion.Definitely worth a stop!

We stopped for lunch at this quaint Cajun Cafe’ while traveling through Gladewater, Texas and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly and there when you needed them and our food was delicious. I had the Cajun pinto bean soup with his puppies. It was Yummy ? ❣️ Really glad we stopped there‼️
