The steaks are cooked perfectly and their sides have wonderful selections. Lastly, this restaurant offers great value for the money. “I used to Drive long haul Tractor trailer, solo , cross country. I have eaten BBQ in every Bbq restaurant across the entire United States ! One day as many I was looking for a place to eat and a place big enough I could park my loaded truck ! My eyes saw a big dusty dirt parking lot with a BBQ sign ! Yup I said have not been here but have heard other drivers talk good things about this place! My honest opinion of Mikes is just this …. The Absolute Best BBQ in the Country! Hands down ! “First time here. I liked it. And would like to come back and try other items. I had brisket and sausage, green beans and pinto beans. All was good. Nothing stood out as amazing but nothing was bad. Everything was fresh and at the right temperature.Desserts looked amazing but I didn’t buy any. I had some free ice cream and was good.The place is clean and has plenty of seating. We sat outside because the wealthy was beautiful and it was very nice until we realized that both visando staff come out there to smoke. I wish they would do so away from dining area. I won’t be seating outside next time.Service was great and everyone that served us was very kind and professional. I definitely will come back.“

“This is my 1st time at this location and the staff was soooo super nice, attentive and kind, Plus very patient with me as i had a large order request. I did get the Red head lady's name but she's amazing as well as Bruce who assisted me to the car with my order. Thanks for being an awesome team...the food was just as good as the staff was.“
“The food is alright, butt's a bit pricey. I can usually find better bbq for a better price elsewhere, but that's not why I keep coming back.The atmosphere is what sells the place for me. You can relax here, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend sitting on the patio and enjoying your meal by the lake.Parking: Can be hard to find a spot close by to park, but the walk is nice and you get to see more of the facilities around.Kid-friendliness: My kids have a blast playing by the lake while we relax and enjoy our meal and drinks.“
“We came here from Maryland to tryout Texas BBQ. We had tried from various bbq spots before this one. Zavala’s is definitely my top 3! Their BBQ did not disappoint! Even though they are ranked top 50, I can’t see how they are not ranked top 3. Customer service was great! The BBQ sauce delicious! We loved it here!!“
