We came here from Maryland to tryout Texas BBQ. We had tried from various bbq spots before this one. Zavala’s is definitely my top 3! Their BBQ did not disappoint! Even though they are ranked top 50, I can’t see how they are not ranked top 3. Customer service was great! The BBQ sauce delicious! We loved it here!!
First off the customer service was outstanding!! Can't say enough about how great the staff was. The ribs were definitely fall off the bone and the BBQ sauce taste great. I'm not a fan of the potatoe salad because I want sweat, mustard potatoe salad period. And I was not a fan of the cheese hominy. Although the sausage was really good. I just wish there were more side options.

Nice staff but the food was pretty underwhelming and bland, Hurtado BBQ and Goldees BBQ is way better imo. Food was kinda cold and very small for portions for the price. Sides need some work also.

We stopped in while we were in town car shopping and the vibe was amazing! They were closing up because they were out of brisket and ribs and just about everything else. What they did have was absolutely delicious! Great service, great food! We will definitely be back, just have to make sure we get there earlier! But the carnitas, smoked turkey, and banana pudding ??? it deserved more stars!

Hands down some of the best food I have ever eaten! And the service was even better!!!Drove for 4 hours to try the food after seeing a video with Matt from Meat Church, and it is well worth it. When we were eating our food the staff started chatting with us and they learned that we were there celebrating my boyfriends birthday. They went above and beyond to treat us! Then the owner walked in and sent a video of my boyfriend and I to Matt, and Matt responded!!! I can't say enough how much I appreciate all they did for us. It was completely genuine as we were members of their family.
