Had the best fried chicken sandwich of my entire life here. Maybe I was more hungry than usual, or perhaps I came with low expectations to a touristy area for a Tuesday lunch. Maybe I was still riding the high from the eclipse earlier in the week. But the chicken was perfect, the bun was just right, and it served with a side of gravy for the sandwich (yes, put it on the sandwich!). Fries were top-notch as well. Plenty of good beers on tap. My wife had one of the salads, but I can't recall which one because I had to protect my fries the whole time. It's been 2 weeks and I'm still thinking of that fried chicken sandwich. I don't come to Dallas much, but when I do, I will be back to see if this experience can be repeated.

Pretty good place to stop and eat, but the food definitely doesn’t blow you away. The fried zucchini is great.

I wanted to try some Texas chili. This was a real treat. I got the Frito pie. It was really good. A slight amount of spice (I could've used a little more- even though I ate the serrano pepper they served as garnish). We also got the chicken nachos, donkey tails, and fish and chips.I would definitely suggest the chili. The donkey tails to go with the queso was pretty tasty as well. The fish and chips was a real stand out. The breading was very crispy and delicate. It was not overly greasy. The best I have ever had was in Hong Kong- those British folks taught them well. If you're not feeling like chili, try the fish and chips. You will not be disappointed. The beers were cold and the service was prompt and didn't let me sit with an empty beer for more than a few seconds.

While it took a few tries to get everything right (2/5 orders had to be sent back to be fixed) the food was amazing when correct. Servers were attentive and friendly, and while I didn't get to experience the living music, the stage is well placed to ensure every seat would be able to enjoy the music.
