Didn't get to stay long.but great place hidden in the nowhere lands of central texas.they had a free snack buffet w some incredible bbq.super neat place run by really cool lady.definitly a place to stop by if ur in the area.i hear they have great live music as well but have not got to see anything yet

One of those dimond in the ruff! Out of the way,biker friendly but a beautiful ride in the country to get there! In a small town that makes for a nice ride. I will be back many times now that I know where it is.

The Ben Hur Bar was originally a general store I believe it was built around 1905?. My grandparents lived in Ben Hur, my father was born there in 1910. My grandfather first took me to the general store (Ben Hur Bar) in 1955, I'm 73 years old now.I enjoy stopping by when I'm in the area.If anyone has information on exactly when it was built it would be interesting to know.Thanks,Lee Read
