Won't do this place again. Food not good at all. My beef burrito fajita meat was okay, but the flour tortilla was terrible. Rice flat, beans just fair. My wife's cheese enchiladas tasted stale. My daughter said her flautas were good. The waitress struggled to smile, but service was okay. The tables & utensils were clean. My wife and daughter said the ladies room was not good. Not good at all! The overall atmosphere was okay. This place is overdue for a facelift. We have lived and eaten in many Mexican restaurants all over Texas. This was not good at all.With so many other Mexican restaurants in Hebbronville, I'd skip this place.

A regular told me the burgers were supposed to be very good here, so that was my plan. On previous occasions I have had the tacos and enchiladas, and both were very good. Good queso and tasty hot sauce, also. This trip I ordered the cheeseburger(add jalapeños) and fries. I was not disappointed! Meat was hot, cheese melted, and the fries were crispy and fresh from the fryer. Jalapeños added just the right zip to the burger. I'd definitely go back for any of the menu items, but the burger will be at the top of my list. Sweet tea was spot on, too! Give it a try!

My wife and I are from out of state. The one thing we always enjoy in this area is great Mexican food. El Vaquero did not disappoint! The food and the service are great. We were treated with genuine kindness. We were seated and our drinks of choice were immediately brought to the table. Krista enjoyed the margaritas. My beer was served along with a frosted mug! We enjoyed their especial queso. So good! The beef fajitas and "#6" (beef taco, cheese enchilada, and queso puff) were fantastic.We will be back here in one month when we return to this area. We dined at a different local, Mexican restaurant the previous evening. That one (Cabo) was not worthy.Dine at El Vaquero and leave happy!

Went and had happy hours margaritas and my favorite dish grilled chicken avocado salad. It is delicious. All the juices from the chicken, and lime all mix together creating its own dressing. I promise u will love it!
We had the most rude waitress! She barely spoke to us and when she did she seemed to have an attitude for some reason. The food was good but the service was horrible!

We are weekend residents who have just discovered this place which is slightly off the highway in “the square”The price is right. Their competition make the dish I ate here at this restaurant. I had the Court House special. The beef was nice and tender. The flavor was good but not great. I’ll call it a “safe” seasoning level.Based upon a scan of the packed room on a Saturday night. I’ll assume the goal is to be friendly to “mature” patrons who might be sensitive to spice or salt. I recommend asking guest if they want it spicy or maybe offering some side salsa or seasoning for the more adventurous guests.This is a 5 star for us. We will be back.PS - The bartender needs to be careful at the registers. He wasn’t closing the cash drawer. He left is ajar twice in the few minutes I was standing there.

I have been there a few times while visiting my parents in a town near by. Visited last Friday for dinner and it was crowded. Food is pretty good with decent prices! I tried the Margarita on the rocks for the first time and it was really good, too!
