The food wasn't great but it was okay. Service wise, it felt like they were in a bit of a hurry to get us out of there. Overall it was an okay experience but not the best. The seating needs quite a bit of work. To quote my good friend "If I'm in the mood for mexican food and I am in the area. I think i'll just wait!"
The chilaquiles in red sauce are exquisite! Super delicious. By chance I found this restaurant when I was visiting fort worth. I recommend it.

$10+ for a michelada was a bit of a shock. The beer is $4 separately, so you’re paying $6 for 6 ounces of tomato juice. Birria tacos were delicious, not quite the flavor I’m used to though. They most often have a cinnamon profile and these don’t. Service was great and its a cute little place, but my bill added up very quickly.

The tacos birrias from here have my entire heart. If I could marry an inanimate object, it would be these tacos birrias. I would die for these tacos birrias.
I used to love everything about this place. I still love their chips and salsa and their frozen drinks. Over the past couple of years (possibly due to new cooks or new ingredients?) the food has been slowly changing. The barbacoa, chicken, and cheese quality specifically seem to have gone down.I would love to be able to change my overall review, if these things were addressed. Overall I still like the service and atmosphere, but Nena's is no longer my go to pick for lunch.

We are from out of town and took a risk walking in here. They gave us immediate dirty looks and didn’t acknowledge us so we went to sit and when we asked if we seated ourselves or how does it work they yelled in Spanish at us. I speak Spanish, but my husband does not and so he spoke in English assuming they would speak back or find an employee that speaks English. They refused to even try to communicate and so after the eye rolling and negative body language we got up to leave and they laughed at us. ? Don’t recommend only because they apparently don’t care if they provide customer service or not. ??♀️
