We love the oyster bar. It's not a pretentious place. It doesn't pretend to be something that it's not. There's great food. Good service and the atmosphere is well, 1970s Chinese restaurant. But the food is great and that's what a restaurant is all about.
We stopped by today for lunch after our way back to Mission from the island. Eating here brought fond memories when Mission and McAllen had the Oyster Bar there too. We would frequent those locations very often. The shrimp and fish were delicious along with the baked potatoes, soup and salads. All of us enjoyed our meals. The service was excellent! Food still tastes the same from way back then which is a good thing. Will definitely stop by again when in this area!
