This is the end of Jim’s. With the recent closure of two other locations. I can see why. Being able to try 5 other burger places in the area I decided on Jim’s because I’ve always liked the burgers. My visit was around 6p. As soon as I walk-in the restaurant is filled with smoke from the kitchen. I asked an older lady with long gray hair who appeared to be the manager if the vent hoods were working and she said they were just turned on. She also said the ac is not working. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands and it was not well kept. As I sit with my father and look around the ac vents are clogged with lint and the ceiling was dirty. I then over heard the manager saying “they can all osha all they want” over and over. When we get out food which was 2 cheeseburgers. They were dried out and burnt. Fixings we’re just slapped together. Poor waitress was as nice as can be. While we’re eating we hear the waitress talking to the cook/busboy whatever and talking about why he has anxiety? I guess since the old man died the attitude of the Hasslocher siblings has trickled down and now Jim’s will go the way of the dinosaurs.

Granted this is an old location but not excuse for not keeping up with maintenance, water leaking several parts of dining room, real dirty restrooms...but family decided for Jim's so we stayed, ... awful food, Spanish omelette eggs were still runny, biscuits could not eat overwhelmed taste to baking powder, waffle was so chewy inside , flat pancakes..my server was good but no manager visible or anyone even asked about satisfaction.Sad this for sure my last time to Jim's

Comphy and casual.I always liked sitting in a clean comfortable booth, and having a meal away from home.Reminds me of my childhood.

It’s been years since I ate at Jim’s, and was a first time for my boyfriend. Not sure if the location is understaffed or this is just how they run but the right section was shut down and the left section was completely full.We had to wait quite a while for a table and we were the only ones in the lobby. Some of the waitresses appeared a little frazzled. The waitresses that sat and served us (I didn’t get her name) she was younger with blue hair and she did amazing! She came to the table, calm and collected, at the right moments and was working her butt off table to table the entire time.We orderedFried Mushrooms (white gravy)We orderedChicken and Swiss with mashed potatoes (brown gravy) and okraClassic Hamburger with fries1 cup Tortilla Soup and 1 cup Canadian Cheese SoupThe food was 10/10. We both agreed that the flavor of the food was outstanding.Kid-friendliness: They are absolutely kid friendly! Just ask them about how kids eat free!

Great service. Patty is the best server I've ever had at any restaurant probably ever. So friendly, kind, and welcoming. Very good at her job. Food was hot and fresh and great coffee.

Worst Jim's I've been to. Bacon was hard as a rock, the hash browns were old and flatter than the pancakes, the eggs were super runny/soggy, pancakes weren't even cooked all the way. Biscuits were old, i asked for some fresher ones and it took two minutes to get some that seem like they were old and thrown the oven. The entire place is dirty and the restrooms were nasty as well. Stay clear

I find Jim’s to be a very traditional American food restaurant. The food is very good and you will not be disappointed with the seasoning and the presentation. The atmosphere of the restaurant is agreeable and conducive to a stay for good conversation and recreation just with friends or family. We have been here many times, and will continue to come, I recommend the pancakes and any egg style to go with it. We mostly go for breakfast or brunch on Sundays.

Lori our waitress was great getting us water and time to look at the menu. We received our meals timely. Unfortunately we didn’t see Lori after this for quite a while. No water refill. She had refilled my water early on and this was my drink with the meal. She seated another table, they order a little later and she brought their food. Then she seated another couple, little later they ordered. We had been finished with our meal for quite some time, still no water refill, no to go containers. Finally she came back, ask if we wanted to go containers, brought them and our bill. Very disappointing.

The food is great and the service is good. The service would be great if they had more wait staff. Not sure why they don't have more. Because they don't have enough staff the tables are clean but the booths still have crumbs in the back of the seat. I still go at least once a week.

I probably will not ever come to another Jim's. The environment is so-so. It's a diner, but I saw two bugs in two different locations of the diner. One was prior to eating and the other afterwards. The kitchen dish slamming is a little excessive. It's exceptionally loud. When arriving I asked for a quiet spot and it seemed the host then intentionally sat two families with small children on either side of us. When I arrived no one was there and there was plenty of places to sit the larger groups with small screaming children. If that's the area you put kids then I should have been sat somewhere else to start with. The bathrooms are dingy. The waitress had a couldn't care less attitude but was nice enough to serve us although service was slow. The food is the deal breaker. Probably the worst meal I'd ever spend $12 on. I would have been better at the Taco Cabana. I ordered a chopped steak with two eggs and hash browns. The eggs were barely cooked and super runny. The chopped steak was a hamburger patty again barely cooked and left whole. Worst meal ever. I wasted the food after a couple bites and I despise wasting food, but I just couldn't eat it. Now I'm not dumb enough to send it back or to cry about it in the moment- but I will never- ever return FOR SURE! The saddest part it was 3:45pm before I could eat lunch so... I went hungry. That's how bad this location is. Worst experience I have had in a long time.
