I have been trying to find a good African restaurant to get my fufu and pepper soup fix since I got to Texas. This restaurant came up as one of the top options in Houston and I REALLY wanted to like it but as soon as the food came out, I could smell that something was off. Now I’m hoping I just got a bad batch of pepper soup but the goat was not fresh at all (hence the smell). It smelled like a petting zoo. I’m not trying to be rude, but that’s the only thing I can compare it to. The fufu was clearly made from cassava flour- which isn’t inherently bad but I’m also used to the fresh smooth cassava fufu, so maybe that’s just my preference. The jollof rice was not terrible though and the people working there were real sweet

The thick and well-seasoned broth of the peanut butter soup SENT ME. The assorted meats were tender, adding to a satisfying and flavorful experience. The healthy portion of food offered value for the meal, ensuring a filling and overall great experience. The staff added to the positive experience creating a welcoming atmosphere.I can’t wait to go back! ?

Did not enjoy the food at all. Just came back from the waakye festival in Accra so maybe my expectations were too high but this was disappointing. Also crazy expensive for what it was. Can’t recommend this place but I do hope that my meal was just a singular bad experience and that others don’t have the same issue.

This is REAL homemade Ghanaian Food!!! Go there for the real taste!!! I visited Ghana recently and loved their food. Came back to the US craving more. I ate at a Ghanaian restaurant near me and was disappointed! But this restaurant is just what I was looking for!! The owners are heart warming and from Ghana. I can’t wait to eat here again. The prices are fair and the service is excellent. I didn’t have time to take a picture of my food because in ate it quickly and had more to take home. The portion size made me even more excited. Try this place, you won’t be disappointed. It’s a mom and pop, so the atmosphere is a little old but the food and the service makes up for everything!!! ?

Authentic and delicious! The goat was tender and easy to eat. I’ve eaten goat at other places and it’s chewy and tough. This goat meat was “melt in your mouth“ good. The fufu was Ghana soft. (As opposed to Nigerian style – you know what I’m talkin about.) The groundnut soup was so freakin flavorful! It felt like being in Ghana! And that goes for the atmosphere. Let’s go with “humble” – and in the BEST way. More like a chop-bar than an American style restaurant. I’m only in Houston for a few days and I plan to eat here every night.
