By far the best sushi spot we have been to. Me and my two boys visited this spot and have nothing but good to say. Everything was freshly made, fast, and our guy “Tony” was on point with his recommendations. Definitely coming back here when we’re back in

Aka is hands down my favorite sushi spot. They have happy hour pricing all day Saturday and Sunday and their items have been consistent for the past 15 years I’ve been dining here. It is great for a group of 4 who like to share apps and rolls. They also have great hot saki, friendly staff, and quick service. I have never been disappointed. Dinner around 7-9 can get crowded with a short wait but when we arrive by 630 we have no issues being sat rather fast. I love this place!Parking: Depending on the time of day parking is limited as this establishment is located within a strip with marked signage for parking. There is close by neighborhood parking which I have never had an issue with.

Me and a friend go here twice a week. At least once on a Sat. Or Sun. To take advantage of their all day happy hour!Everything I’ve had here is as good as you can expect it to be. I always go for the traditional sushi with hot saki. Everything is always fresh, and they do whatever they can to accommodate any special ordersyou can come up with! Always ask for the Seven Spice seasoning to sprinkle over your sushi for a little extra kick! I would highly recommend Aka for connoisseurs or beginners just getting into sushi. Their Small Bites portion of the menu is great too!Check it out. You won’t be disappointed!

Highly upset. Please see photos of what I received for their lunch. I was excited there was a sushi place that did lunch near me. The salad. They gave me five pieces of lettuce no dressing, no nothing. The sushi came with no ginger nor wasabi and were tiny. The soup was 1/4 full. I was in absolute shock. I really wish I could get a refund. I did see the guy that handed me the food go back and bag it. He knew what he was giving me. Horrid.

First time here. We order 5 different sushi’s and they all tasted the same. Very low quality and bland. Didn’t enjoy at all. I have no idea why they have such high reviews. I simply do not call this sushi.

The lady that helped me during the superbowl I don’t remember her name but she may remember me, I ordered all vegan food during happy hour ! Anyways she was very knowledgeable and kind and assisted me in many ways. It was like she was a friend! She was very inviting and I was just alone grabbing a bite to eat. Definitely made me feel welcome. The hosts always do when I come there. Thanks you all !

One of the best places in the city to get bang for your buck when it comes to sushi! They have happy hour all weekend and they serve their lunch menu on the weekend too. Been here a handful of times since first trying it earlier this month - that’s how good it is. I’ve been sending all my friends to this spot. Our favorite roll is the kamikaze! We also love the firecracker shrimp, crazy roll, & spider roll. The staff has all been nice & it’s a cozy place. Definitely worth checking it out just for the happy hour alone!

Great sushi for fair price! Recommend to go during happy hour: 3-7pm, 9-close and all day on Saturday and Sunday!Sushi rolls taste great. Service is fast. Place is not overcrowded during the week. Highly recommend!Try the Houston roll from the happy hour menu.

Yet AGAIN, I was surprised at how good this place is. I keep telling myself to go back more often, and then I forget. Sashimi lunch special is GREAT... nice thick cuts.

I came here during my lunch break and not only was the food delicious but the service was exceptional.I started off with the miso soup. It was so tasty it made me feel warm and comfy. I wish I would’ve ordered a larger portion but I do know I didn’t have stomach space for it.Although I forgot the name of the sushi roll I got, I definitely remember how delicious and fresh it tasted. The Takoyaki was brought to the table last but I was definitely not mad about it. When I took the first bite, I felt the warmth and all the amazing flavors just melt in my mouth.Truly amazed at the speed and efficiency of the service that was provided.I also noticed the great happy hour options but because I had to return to work I wasn’t able to indulge. Hope to be back soon and I will take advantage next time!
