The food, service, ambience, and experience is top notch! Our server Carlos was fantastic! Adrian at the front of house is spectacular! Chef Giancarlo is the best! Thank you for making my birthday memorable & special.

I entered with high expectations and left annoyed and disappointed. My desire for an upscale dining experience during my recent visit to this restaurant for a special birthday celebration was far from the sophisticated evening we anticipated. The charm of the establishment's small dining area and its allure through social media and website presentations set high expectations that were unfortunately not met.The staff could not navigate the cramped space throughout the night without bumping into my chair. This ongoing disturbance was surprising and disappointing given the establishment's upscale image. The service missteps continued with a noticeable delay in providing menus and repeated oversight in refilling drinks--a fundamental aspect of attentive service. While the food was commendable for its preparation and presentation, these service shortcomings significantly detracted from our dining experience. After bringing my concerns to a manager, an awkward situation unfolded when the manager instructed one waiter to apologize to me in front of my guests. This approach felt misguided and only added to the discomfort of the evening. The issue continued throughout our entire visit by every employee.A later incident where a waiter dismissively walked away from me while addressing another service lapse reflected a broader problem, perhaps poor or little training or the employees having little respect for their patrons. The experience left me reflecting on the importance of food quality, the caliber of service, and guest respect in defining a truly upscale dining experience. While I understand the challenges of running a restaurant, the evening's events indicated systemic issues rather than isolated mishaps.I can understand the owner's goal to pack as many tables into the space as possible, but this decision needs the understanding and cooperation of the people who work there. I learned one thing: to put more weight on negative online reviews. There were a few, and my experience mimics many of the points made by others.Parking: There are spots in the lot not exactly in front of the establishment. Many spots are reserved for the valet.

The ambiance was great. Quaint place. Only issue someone may have is portion size. I thought it was great. However in American culture, I could see some people viewing the portion size a slightly undersized for the price. Great place IMHO.

Amalfi is still the place that friends recommend to friends because there just is seldom any type of problem. Food is outstanding. Service is very good. You see your friends there and everyone is smiling. The owners work hard, are great people and do not take your patronage for granted. True neighborhood gem.

This family owned Italian restaurant is one of the best date nights we've ever had. The service, the food, and the experience was amazing. The owner truly loves being here and you can tell. If you're looking for authentic Italian, this is the place to be!

Very noisy and packed …. But food…. Excellent !!! It is unfortunate to have this place in such location and tiny space compare to the huge demand. Not a cheap place but this is authentic Italian food and very well cooked and presented.

Had my first visit here about 1 day ago. The atmosphere was the perfect balance of fine dining meets family-style - beautifully decorated with warmth. It was very busy when we arrived but once noticed, we were treated with care and the staff moved with urgency to get us seated. Our server, Manuel, was friendly and attentive while giving us our space. Food was absolutely delicious & innovative!!! I had the Halibut with cauliflower mousse which was so incredibly silky and smooth. Overall, a fantastic dining experience - easily became one of my favorite restaurants. I will be returning happily!

Always a great experience. Tasty food and more the Italian vs American Italian experience. A bit tight but good to see that the place is always so busy, clearly we want to be able to go many more times. Some items are standard Houston prices but overall a tad more on the high end. Able to back up the extra cost through food quality.

You know, for the price I do not think the value is all that impressive. The service was so so. We told our waiter we were not having desert or coffee and it took a good 15 minutes to get our check. The food was so so. My friends salmon was undercooked. My filet was ok, but nothing to write home about. Probably should have gone with the Dover Sole I had once before. You know, I'd still recommend the place, but I think it was overpriced. Or maybe for a big town like Houston it was not unexpected.

I have been dining at Amalfi since they opened 10 years ago and they continue to provide the best real Italian food in Houston. You think that you are on the Amalfi Coast enjoying what the locals are eating. Amalfi is a must for anyone who wants real Italian food.

This is one of our favorite restaurants; however, last night, the service was poor, and we had to ask continually for water and have our plates removed. The waiter was not as keen on the wine list as our previous waiters have been. I don't know what went wrong, but it was definitely not the same place. We have celebrated Mother's Day, Easter, several anniversaries, Valentine's Day there, etc........
