We enjoyed the meal however the chef came around to the tables and was quite rude and wouldn't let the women talk and bullied us into getting three desserts. The key lime pie had nuts in the crust which my son had an allergic reaction too.

Arturo continues to serve delicious food; heavenly homemade biscuit-rolls, tasty salads, the best red snapper, and classic creme brûlée - albeit as a single tablespoon scoopful. Patrons since he first opened, we would love to see more specials offered and the addition of a slow-roasted garlicky, spicy, lean pork shoulder or fresh ham - pulled pork style - on garlic-butter & fresh ground pepper Posole or polenta. Add ripe (caramelized) fried plantain and yuca fries and be transported to South America!

Everything was outstanding - chef made a special little dish for us and it was delicious. Our meals were superb. For desert we had what is consistently the best apple tart in town.

The food was incredible. The flavors were savory and the dishes were cooked to perfection . My only complaint was the lack of wait staff. I chose this resturaunt ahead of Valentines day because the reviews were great. My wife and I showed up around 10 mins late to my our reservation. We were greeted by a friendly valet. We entered the resturaunt and waited by the door 10-15 min, watching servers dart back and forth. We were finally seated in an awkward spot next to the kitchen and then it became a waiting game. The owner ended up greeting us and asking if we would like a glass of wine and/or appetizers. I waa appreciative that the Owner took the time to personly greet us and apologize for the lack of wait staff. Overall the food was awesome and I will definitely be going back.

Dear foodie readers, a new review, I have been a little off my game…a lot going on, but let’s get to why you are reading this…Arturo Boada…nestled on del monte street in in the briar grove area…unfortunately the facade doesn’t do it justice, but I felt it added to the charm of the whole experience…it’s a small space, I recommend reservations…we were welcomed by the super friendly staff…once we sat down, we took in the vibe…I loved that it was just a tad old school…nothing over the top…and honestly no need for fancy, because his food is fantastic. We started with delicious garlic bread, along with the sautéed calamari….yes you read that correctly…sautéed, and let me tell you, wayyyy better than fried….the garlic and oil sauce was beyond amazing, we wanted to dab anything we could in it, it was that good. We also had the ceviche, was excellent as well. Our entrees next, I had one of specials, it was branzino with crab on top, sheer perfection. Simple no frills, and paired with some veggies…my husband got the tuna, and enjoyed it as well. My kids loved their steak and pasta. We then ordered dessert, 3 of them, we couldn’t resist, I was celebrating my anniversary so why not. In house pistachio gelato, apple tart, and flourless chocolate cake…can’t say which was my favorite, they were all wonderful. The best part is Arturo comes and visits his guests, very hospitable man. Thank you for a great evening.

We really wanted to like this place. It had been on my list to visit, it’s a little ways away from our place so we finally made it out tonight on a Friday. The place is small and never got packed all the way. We started with the fish tacos and they were 5/5 but sadly it all went downhill from there. The papas bravas were terrible with no flavor (1/5), the prosciutto with melons was lacking (2/5), it’s not like it was aged or even 18 month prosciutto - probably lower than Walmart quality. Also melons didn’t go well at all. We got the tuna tartar and I would give negative stars for that if I could. It was only acid, acid and more acid. Limey with orange slices and cucumbers - made no sense. Then came the paella which was subpar (2/5) and then the creamy pasta where I subbed the shrimp for chicken and that was somewhat ok (3/5)Right before we got the mains we had asked 5 times for bread. There is no balance - we got a bottle if Chateau Neuf but the wine list was confused - just slapped together. I wasn’t expecting BCN or MAD but maybe an old school Costa Brava type vibe. Or even one of Arturo’s old places from 20 years ago. He came by the table twice and he was just drunk. He was trying to be sweet but he came across pretty obnoxious. We over ordered so there might be something we would end up liking but even the crème brûlée on spoon was runny and not good.Hope they can turn it around. Unless things change this was our first and last visit.

Outstanding food and service. The staff could not have been more kind and professional. The osso bucco special, multiple pasta dishes, all delicious! Our first visit to this true neighborhood gem and we'll definitely be going back!

Always terrific. Service was eager and professional but still relaxed. Food was exceptional and always a treat. Mama Sonias ravioli, blue cheese filet app, calamari, ceviche and petit filet were all standouts. Two minor beefs - we were not offered tap H2O and ended up with a few bottles of flat water at $8 a piece and we had to ask for bread with the entrees. We'll be back because we love it.

Highly enjoyable dining experience. Tried multiple tapas dishes, clams were outstanding ! Best I've had in houston ! Paella was delicious. Visited with Arturo tableside, most interesting chef. Will return soon.

Over the top. My wife had the snapper and I had the filet. Incredible! The owner walks around and greets you. I felt as if I were in NYC.

I had dinner at Arturo’s just now and the food was terrible! The mussels were bland and the $50 steak was not what I expected. I got 2 thin pieces of meat . Not sure what this was and I am surprised the chef was not embarrassed serving this! The mixed vegetables wasn’t great either. Not sure how this place can get such great reviews. Service was ok, but they forgot to bring our wine. What a waste of time and money .
