Badolina is one of my favorite places for a quick breakfast. Now; it's not a full service breakfast place as they only have pastries, but they do have some options with eggs that are a little hearty like their quiches, but that's not why I come here. I come here for the double chocolate croissant. It's so good. Oh my god. I could eat like 3 of them in one sitting. And then the pizza focaccia. Like who doesn't love an excuse to have pizza for breakfast? The prices can add up pretty quickly but usually I order 1-2 things and the damage isn't too bad ($10-$14 depending on what I order). Make sure you get one of their coffees to go with your pasties. Lastly, the patio. I absolutely am enchanted with their patio. It is like going to a European cafe without leaving Texas. The service is fast as well. Definitely would recommend this place!

They Need some vegan options. The savory pastry the others had was good but not outstanding. We sat outside and the ordering system had the employees hollering out the window regularly for order pickup. This was quite annoying. The seating outside was nice. We went early. There were a lot of gas polluting delivery trucks driving by making the air dirty. :( It was a meeting point to see our friends. I brought my coffee because some places don't have decaf but they did.

Love Bandolina! I've stopped in a few times for chai tea lattes which are always amazing. Service is fast and the staff is always friendly. Their pastries are the best part though-- loved the pistachio croissant filled with pistachio cream as well as their cookies. Limited indoor seating but there's also outdoor seating with pretty trees.

A lot more things to dislike about Badolina than to like about it. We had been to Hamsa last year and had the best time there, loved it, and sang its praises, and so we were expecting the sister bakery to be on par with that. Uh no. First of all, this has to be the number one DUMBEST layout situation of any cafe that we have ever seen. They have a bunch of tables outside (NOBODY is bussing squat, so expect everything to be filthy), but the inside is the most cramped space imaginable and how they designed it is idiotic. So there's a bunch of tables on the left and then the cases/coffee bar area on the right and then in between is, maybe a few feet, where the line is (people hovering over the tables) and the same space where people are jockeying to get to the bathroom and push strollers(!!!!!!!) and it's so maddening and unpleasant that whatever good mood you were in has immediately vanished. We managed to squeeze in at a table right next to the front door (it was filthy and the people kept bumping into us as they were entering/exiting), hoping that the quality of the food would be worth the logistical nightmare. Uh no. It's not bad, don't get us wrong, but nothing that we tasted was fresh in the least. A day or two old minimum. The caramelized onion focaccia was OK but basic, and while the quiche was interesting with the butternut squash, it tasted greasy and old. The sabich sandwich was embarrassing to all sabich-lovers worldwide and the bureka that they had in the case was twice as large as the one that we actually received. Sweet stuff: chocolate croissant was a flaky explosion disaster. UGH. The pistachio white chocolate cookie was too chalky with what was clearly pure pistachio paste. The vegan chocolate chip cookie was fine. There was one more but it made such a little impression that we can't even remember it! The real kicker of this experience was the barista who literally argues with one of us that the reason that her coffee was so light was because of the water and not the cream. LOL! The chutzpah! Anyway, we were going to take pity on this place and give it three stars but after writing this review it reminded us of how much we didn't like it and so we're not rounding up for "tribe" bias. Two stars.

Badolina is such a cute place for a sweet treat! They were bustling with patrons on a Saturday morning both sitting indoors and enjoying the rare pleasant weather on their outside patio. My friends and I snagged a seat inside and enjoyed our lattes and mango mousse dessert. The counter service was very quick, bonus points for them giving out health care worker discounts! Their mango mousse had the perfect amount of sweetness and had a tasty guava center. Our lattes were perfect to wash it down with. I'd return to try more of their pastries!

This is now my favorite coffee shop. First of all, the music!- I was jamming the whole time. Gave me main character vibes sitting a cute coffee shop, with my matcha latte, lip singing. Lol. ALL the staff I encountered was so so nice. The lady that took my order was super nice and honestly made me feel like I knew her and was a regular. She also remembered my name a couple hours later when she was cleaning up the tables and asked if I was doing okay- by name! Oh, the foccacia with tomatoes was amazing as well. I mean, just go check it out. Love it.

The bakery and cafe is very well decorated, and staff are nice. The pastries were okay, the pistachio croissant filling had a very strong floral taste to it which was unexpected and made it too much. The chocolate dessert was good.

If you wanna get charged for whatever they want, come here. Am I doing a favor to come here and PAY to get a pastry and nasty attitude? No thanks

Stunning pastries! Great coffee and service. Beautiful decor with indoor and outdoor seating.

The classic sourdough bread is baked fresh daily and wonderful. There is no bakery in Houston that makes a sourdough as well as this fine establishment. I buy one at least once a week and can tell you from many years of experience that you will find none better!

Clean bakery with delicious food and drink and courteous and efficient customer service. The coffee (espresso) tasted fantastic and was clearly effective as I’m leaving this review at 2am! We stopped in on a very busy Sunday afternoon and quickly received our warmed pastries and coffee within 3-4 minutes. A lot of pastries are 50% off after 4pm. The patio seating was lovely on a day with beautiful weather. The restroom was very clean- an important and often unfortunately overlooked component of a restaurant/cafe. Students and faculty at Rice can get 15% off with an ID. We will be back!Parking: There is free valet directly adjacent to the bakery. There is also free 2-hour parking across the street. In addition, there is street parking (though the lattercan be limited when there’s a lot of traffic in the village).

Badolina is a dessert and coffee spot I had known about for quite some time before visiting. What intrigued me initially is the sophisticated aesthetic presentation of pastries and other baked goods. Very few bakeries make items which look as good as what's offered at Badolina. My croissant-like pastry tasted really good, as did the coffee. On the other hand, there are areas for improvement. I would describe the service as lethargic and not the most welcoming. I also found the indoor seating to be lacking. The ratio of outdoor to indoor seating is something like 3:1. More thought should have been given to this aspect of the business. Overall, I think this business is OK but has the potential to get better. The star of the show here is the desserts, which I do recommend.

We stopped by for coffee and pastries on a Saturday afternoon and I liked the cardamom twist. I had been meaning to try their pistachio croissant but sadly it's not got a very artificial flavor and not flaky goodness like the common bond croissant. Parking is scarce so plan accordingly. The latte was fine and they do offer healthcare and student discounts.

honestly the coffee is super mid and watered down. and the pastry is ok-- would not go back. super tiny inside too barely enough seats. could have went somewhere else for a better coffee.
