Upscale Clientele

I love this place because I've been going to them forever over 10 years easily. However they must have a new chef or something, it seems everything has lost it touch and flavor. Their gumbo is amazing and top tier in Houston; however it's lacking lately and I've referred people to them and they also even said the food wasn't as seasoned. I don't know, whomever they had I wish they bring them back or someone similiar * Le Sigh*

Oysters were fresh and amazing. Prices were good too! Nice place, not too upscale like the other restaurants in the area where you don't feel obligated to dress fancy. Would definitely come back here again, pasta was delicious.

Hated it. Please stop serving frozen mozzarella sticks for the price being charged. They were horrible. The food literally made me and another friend ill. Stayed on the toilet for hours. The shrimp was rubbery. The cream/Alfredo sauce could use a lot of work. I would love to be invited into the kitchen to see y'all cooking process/techniques. I have no plans of ever visiting this establishment again.

As always, the best which starts with the manager Terra. The snapper is our favorite.Kid-friendliness: The table next to us was celebrating a child's birthday. Nice.

We had a wonderful meal, thanks to help from our server Adam. Dad was in town visiting and requested seafood… he got the seafood combo blackened and I got the pasta liberty blackened and a side Caesar salad, we shared sautéed oysters as an appetizer… yum! The portions are large and I took more than half of the pasta home for later!Adam helped answer our questions and provided suggestions that made our experience even better. We will absolutely be returning, Bayou City is a new favorite for us!Parking: Plenty of free parking in the huge lot of the building!

I really liked the service and ambience of this establishment. The food was pretty good just did not get what I expected but was still tasty(referring to the Dale's special it was more like a soup than I thought). My son ordered the Pasta Zues which was a great dish recommend if you like pasta and saucy dishes. My fiancé ordered the fried catfish which was good but he said that it needed more seasoning. We also ordered the alligator bites as an appetizer which surprised me the most because I enjoyed it. Overall I did like this place and would recommend.

I am 79 years old and have been going to Bayou City for years. My wife has always enjoyed the service and food. Today we went a little before 6PM and tried to order supper. I order regular sea food and my wife order a fish taco with a dinner salad. The server told us he could not serve a fish taco unless we went and ordered it at the bar. Since all food was being made in the same kitchen, I did not understand why we could not get the complete meal at our table.. We were not looking for a discount just service and the food. The server went and found someone and he said that we would have to go to the bar to order and eat the fish taco. This sounds so ridiculous. The restaurant was not busy and had lots of tables free. We did leave and went to Goode Seafood on WesPark.

Rating take out experience - service could be friendlier when I was picking up food. Although Uber app said it was ready, I waited for almost 10 more min inside to get it.Had the pasta liberty jumbo - it’s a huuuge portion. Easily enough for 2. The “seafood” was shrimp and crawfish. Taste was ok. But nothing special

Unfortunately, my review is based purely off of the service and ambiance, as I never actually got to try the food. My boyfriend and I showed up for our 7:15 reservation and were immediately seated, as there was no one waiting and plenty of empty tables. We waited patiently for a server to come take our drink order, or at least tell us that they would be with us shortly, for nearly 15 minutes, but we were not acknowledged by anyone during that time period. After 15 minutes of waiting, we decided to go elsewhere, as the service was clearly going to be a problem. This place charges about $30 per plate. For that price you can go to a restaurant like Hillstone where you will not only have exceptional food but exceptional service as well. Given all of the amazing restaurants in Houston, I would not recommend Bayou City Seafood & Pasta.

The customer service and food was exceptional. The reservation process was easy and out table was ready when we arrived and we was seated right away and our server greeted us within a minute of us being seated by the hostess.
