I only come here for breakfast but today I came for dinner and the food was very good. I had pot roast and it was delicious and tender. My husband had a fried cod sandwich which is seasonal and he said it was so good. Fries were fresh and crispy. Kid burger was a good size as well!

After multiple bad experiences at Snooze, I decided to give Black Walnut a try for my weekly pancake craze. I am very glad that I did! The pancakes are amazing, but not only that, their service is top-tier. I went in on a Sunday morning when it was very crowded, and the employees were so nice and efficient. I got my order in less than 10 minutes and it tasted amazing. Highly recommend!

TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY!! KYLE AND FRIENDS MADE ME FEEL SO SPECIAL. I VISITED THE MORNINGSIDE LOCATION IN THE VILLAGE OR UPPER KIRBY. THE AMBIANCE AND FRIENDLY STAFF, THEY WALKED AROUND CHECKING TO ENSURE ALL WAS GOOD. THIS MADE MY DAY! DID I MENTION MY BIRTHDAY CARROT CAKE, OMG DELICIOUS!!!!
I would definitely recommend this place. Waygu steak and potatoes is seasoned to perfection, chicken and waffles are extremely tasty, pot roast/cheese sandwich is delicious. The gelato is the best I've ever tasted. Perfect place for casual dining. Can't wait to go back.
Overall the place is okay, went during brunch time. For a bit of a wait, for our food, we received cold. Didn't complain. Overall the food and experience is okay. Honestly don't know if I will be returning tho.
