There's not much I can add to these reviews beyond the other things that have been said except to give perspective on how appealing and delicious the food is to the most picky eaters. My dad is not adventurous and yet I was able to get him to try the Greens & Tings. He ate it all-incident trying plantains for the first time and he enjoyed the entire meal. This is my go-to spot at The Post with my favorite item being The Trad. I love that they keep a consistent line but the staff is always friendly. When you visit, skip the soft drink options and order the Oga Palmer (a hibiscus tea and lemonade). The food is fresh, hot and has all the right flavors to appease your tastebuds. This is truly one of the hottest food options in Houston and you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't try it. They live up to their values and all the exposure (Top Chef, special vendor at Toyota Center), and accolades they have received including Chef Amosu's 2024 James Beard Emerging Chef nomination.

I loved loved loved it. I can't remember what it was, but it was whatever they give out for samples. It was so delicious. Everything was perfectly seasoned. We got it to go, but I couldn't have asked for anything more! I will definitely be back!

I had the "Trad" with a sparkling orange drink, and the dish reminded me of jambalaya. The chicken (slightly overcooked) and chopped sausage have some spiciness that is well balanced by the stewed plantains. Brussel sprouts are a bit too raw and crunchy for me; I prefer them more tender. My order was ready in about 3-4 minutes since I placed it. Usually, fast turnover times mean that they prepare the dish ahead of time and just reheat it to order. Thankfully, this dish has no indication of being out for too long.

ChòpnBlok, is a must to try! I see why the chef is nominated for a James Beard award!! The little restaurant is in the Post Market Food Hall. There aren't tables inside the restaurant but plenty of tables throughout the hall. I had never tried West African or more specifically Nigerian food but I'm so glad I did! The Golden Bowl is what you need to order, so much flavor!! The Minnie Pies are also tasty. My mouth is watering all over again as I type this. Good luck winning the James Beard in June!

Friendly service, lovely spicy, nutty flavor of the motherland curry, with jollaf rice and roast chicken. First time trying west African - loved it. Great concept well executed. Fast service

Try the sample and buy the food. It's that simple. This was the BEST new food I've had all year. The golden bowl with the curry, plantains, rice, and chicken was 10/10 amazing.

WHY DIDN'T I TRY THIS FOOD SOONER???!!I don't think you need my opinion since you can already see a lot of great reviewsInside POST HTX food court ChōpNBlok is bringing all the flavor of west Africa to our palates. It's my first time in this place so I went for the popular Golden Bowl!! That curry made me start dancing to afrobeats .It was a BIG bowl with a spicy yellow curry, grilled chicken (I don't know what they added but it tasted amazing) , jollof rice, beans, and other delicious add ons that mixed together became an explosion of flavors.I need to come back and try everything else, definitely will become one of my go-to favorites.I just wish they open another location I don't really like the food court vibe but other than that everything in this place is amazing! And let's not forget how stylish the deco is !!******GOLDEN BOWL = TEARS OF DELIGHT******

Insane flavor, diversity of wildly varying spices and color. Pure mouth music for your adventurous palate. The Golden bowl, is a slam dunk. Or Green bowl. There's an off menu item : Fusion of Gold & Green bowls with Shrimp! You gonna be in heaven that's the right, Golden....!!!
