I've been wanting to stop by here for some time and they did not disappoint! You order at the counter, receive a number, and have a seat while they prepare your order. Service was fast and the food was delicious. We had the empanada flight...All of them were great! We had the oxtails with sweet potatoes and greens. The oxtails were very well seasoned and super tender. The greens and sweet potatoes remind you of those an old country grandmother would make for Sunday dinner. We also got the grilled fish and shrimp. It was tasty , too, but the oxtails were definitely my favorite. We've already been back and I'm sure we'll go back again. I highly recommend if you're in the mood for some good southern comfort food.
Came for the HBRW event, and this was a great first visit! Great food, great atmosphere, great service; seemed like being at home. I had a shrimp empanada that was really very tasty, and the waffle was perfectly cooked on the chicken and waffles. Stella Artois was engraving chalices on site, very exciting. Ladies in heels, watch that slight drop upon entry, lol. I will definitely return! Right off the Beltway in plain view, but it's a hidden gem.

The staff was so nice and the food was so good. I got my food fast! I got the Dominican stewed chicken and it was delicious. They also had all sorts of empanadas available. I will definitely be coming back.

They were featured on Fox 26 this morning, I drove 40 minutes to patronize the restaurant. It was only 4 people eating. My plate came with 2 pieces of dark chicken, rice and 2 sides for $18 dollars?, I also purchased the peach cobbler that was too dry to eat. The food wasn’t all of that, the atmosphere doesn’t justify the price. I probably would’ve been more satisfied with the Popeye’s Chicken next door. It’s hard to support a business when the prices are ridiculous.

Ordered Doordarsh at work based on a coworkers recommendation. This place did not disappoint!! The BEST empanadas I've ever had. Ordered the oxtail empanadas, and they were so full of flavor and just the right amount of gravy! The outside of the empanada had the perfect crisp and crunch! 10/10 recommend these! Also tried the vegetable platter with greens, rice and beans with a bit of gravy over them, and sweet potatoes. I was a fan of all except for the sweet potatoes. In my opinion, it was lacking flavor, don't get me wrong, still good, but not my favorite. The greens, though? Fantastic! And so were the rice and beans! Oh and the mini loaf cornbread was great as well! I can't wait to try more items! 10/10 recommend this place!

Stopped for lunch and everything was great! Super clean and cute atmosphere. The food was so yummy and fresh. We have super picky eaters and everyone enjoyed the beef and chicken empanadas. We tried a veggie plate and everything we ordered was perfectly seasoned and cooked without being mushy.

Came in for the first time today and the two women at the front counter didn’t speak at all… she actually kept continuing her conversation while sitting down until she felt like getting up to come to the register and still never spoke just expected me to start ordering… I don’t even play that when it comes to an establishment when I’m spending money common courtesy and a simple Hello are a must for me… they didn’t even have a line and she acted like I was disturbing her…
