Lots of options for lunch: variety of salad options, dips with the thick bread, lots of different meats in rice and as sides, and a few different sweet options. Can't go wrong with the baklava and square looking plain cane/bread thing. I didn't care for the orange looking dessert. Babaganoush and variety of hummus and tabouli was great. The fried cauliflower was really good too with the slices of meat I assume is beef. I had some chicken/ drumsticks in the rice mix and one in a tomato broth that was good and juicy. Love dark meat not the dry chicken breasts. Only dry meat with the skewer type/ kabob. It was ok. There's no lamb shank. At least not for their lunch buffet. The drink option had a pink drink I think is a Rose drink of sort.

The food was great but not vegan friendly. It doesn't have a big variety of dishes.

It was generally OK. Very good vegetable selection. Hot and fresh pita bread is delicious. Meat selection is relatively weak. Lamb shank was from a very old animal.

Good food & price. Nothing stood out but it was filling nonetheless. The pita bread was cold but still good. The baked chicken rice, potatoes and cauliflower were good. Hummus was also good. Would come back.

I've been to my fair share of Dimassi's throughout the city and I can't think of more massive location than this one on Westheimer. Despite the recent facelift, other locations feel newer and less dated, but this place has more parking, seating, and food options than all of them. (#1) Unlike the sister spots that are part of a strip mall, this one stands alone in its own building with limited outdoor seating. It was also a unique space since they had a waterway for decor, but was patched up and filled out sometime last year when they redid the sign. The place is so huge that I've never really seen it full, even during their busiest days on the weekend. Anyone can show up with a group of 40 and I'm willing to bet everyone will fit. The long buffet line makes me feel like this was a cafeteria at some point. The salad options are vast everything from kale caesars to pasta salads to broccoli with cranberries. They have an extensive amount of hot foods, breads (along with pizza), and the standard Middle Eastern dessert options with soft serve. There are some Dimassi's that will have some of these elements, but rarely a place that has all of them. I have had good results with the chicken shawarma here as well as their kofte. The salt and pepper cauliflower is always a hit and the creamy hummus options (avocado, spicy, regular) are tasty. I am really enamored with their lentils and rice, extremely crispy falafels, the lamb gyro slices are easy go-tos. I also think highly of their baba ganoush, tzatziki, and freshly baked warm bread. They also tend to go heavier with the spices on their foods than other locations. It's not all roses though, the baked chicken and steamed fish are a little bland and the pizzas are not really flavorful. I also think the lamb shank can be both gamey and funky at times. The famous Dimassi's pasta is also kind of a watery mess, where it falls apart even before it gets on my fork. They also offer 10% off with a Yelp check-in. They've been generous overall with the service and I've always enjoyed coming here for a lunch meeting, a quick dinner or an all out gluttonous (#2) feast. __________ (#1) Until proven otherwise. (#2) But semi-healthy
