Terrible food served on Mother’s Day Brunch. The Shrimp & Grits were major disappointment. I could not believe how the meal was presented & served. Over cooked bacon wrapped shrimp place on cold grits.

Great spot in Houston for seafood, cocktails, and wine. The restaurant itself is beautiful with hand carved doors, a unique old wooden bar, and fixtures. Service was superb and waitstaff is attentive.

Beautiful setting, great menu options and nice variance of pricing between apps and entrees. My concern is with the flavor and lack of seasoning. Definitely not a salt and pepper friendly chef. The breading on the calamari was crispy and light and the fry was perfection but it had literally no taste only texture. The oysters were great but it seemed settled when it came to the table perhaps it was delayed on its delivery to the table but none the less it was still flavorful even at room temperature. I had scallops with grilled pineapple and lump crab with a side of broccoli and red beans and rice. Please note there was not a lot of flavor and I added salt in the beans to bring it up and enhance it. The scallops were hidden under a pineapple plank and the crab was mixed with a heavy amount of non flavorful char and oil, no lumps just trace amounts of broken crab meat. The sear on the scallops was just too much and the flavor of the scallops were lost. This dish should have been served on a larger plate with some organic greens and lump crab tossed in tarragon and green onion with an avocado oil and lemon. Three entrees later and 2 apps and I just felt like I was not satisfied at $216. This place needs to be better because it has amazing potential but not the right chef. I know this is small but don’t garnish with a lemon slice, it would have been a major help to have been able to squeeze it over the seafood and broccoli to add some flavor. Every chef knows that I thought…

Consistently delicious and outstanding table side service by Henry. We've been regular customers since their original location and Montrose and always look forward to our next experience.

Located at the corner of a residential area, classy interiors with two big dining halls, a bar and a private room (great for corporate dining or family gatherings). Pet friendly with outside seating, water bar for dogs. Valet parking or ample street parking. Friendly staff. Upscale Cajun creole food, we were here for birthday celebration and enjoyed the atmosphere.

Best Gulf Coast seafood in Houston. Count yourself lucky when they offer softshell crabs or crawfish étouffée. The atmosphere feels like New

Once again, this has proven to be one of the finest dining experiences in all of Houston. The tables are nicely spaced, the noise level is busy but not loud, food and service were excellent (as always)! We took another couple, and this is now their favorite restaurant in Houston as well. Simply cannot say enough wonderful things about this place!

As usual everyone was friendly when we walked in. We always enjoy the food at Eugene's but this time was very, very good. The seafood gumbo is always great and didn't disappoint. The Campechana is the best in Houston. The pecan crusted redfish was wonderful. One of the specials that night was soft shell crab. I had that and it was amazing.

A unique atmosphere, to enjoy as a couple or family. Silent, first-class service. The owner tells you the story in first person

This place is just ok. This being my second visit, I wasn’t really that impressed with the crawfish dish or the shrimp one. Crab fingers were greasy and small. The service was impeccable, I think his name was Juan. On down the road, I may give them another shot.

This was our first time dining at Eugene's and we will be back! The atmosphere, service, and food were excellent. We were not seated outside like we reserved, but the experience was still wonderful for our 10th wedding anniversary celebration dinner. Every item was well-prepared and tasted great.

We came here for my brother's birthday. The food was excellent. Atmosphere was quiet so we could talk easily and the service was attentive and nice. Will definitely come back!!

Food was delicious but service a little slower than we were used to due to Easter.
