If you are visiting Houston, I would not recommend. I think that the ambience and service was really good but the food was subpar especially for the prices. I ordered duck poppers for the table which was $19 and it only came with five very small pieces that I could not indeed share with the whole table. I was also disappointed in the portion sizes. One of my guests got a salad that was $15 and it was a small bowl. I ordered the Gumbo which had no flavor and once I took one bite, I returned it and was charged a 3% convenience fee for returning it and ordering something else. If you must go to this restaurant, I would suggest the shrimp and grits. It was the only thing on the menu that was Flavorful and a decent portion for the price.

Food was lovely, everything was perfectly cooked and very tasty, a little bit pricey though. Was our first time in Houston and we were impressed at Eunice. We'll recommend it.

Being a native New Orleanian, i am always skeptical of "cajun" restaurants outside of Louisiana, but Eunice is the real deal. The chef, hailing from Eunice, Louisiana, has created a menu and atmosphere that is an elevated Cajun dining experience. the food is amazing and the happy hour is such a deal. I always visit Eunice when i am traveling to Houston.

Wow! This place is legit. I am from South Louisiana, and the food here made me feel like I was at home. The cornbread, duck poppers and most of all the gumbo, were awesome starters. They even give you a little mini cup of potato salad with the gumbo. So good! Our entrees were shrimp and grits and the crawfish etouffee. Both perfectly seasoned. The etouffee was a little different in that the dish included about 12 fried shrimp with it. Come hungry! Lastly, the bread pudding for dessert. Wonderful as well, but so full at this point. Ambience is great, and drinks were good. Our waiter was very attentive as well. I will definitely be back!

Upscale scenery, very calm and serene atmosphere, not too crowded during the brunch. They have an excellent French wine selection. The charred broccolini are to die for.

Absolutely delicious, highly recommend. Upscale but relaxed atmosphere. High quality service. The Peruvian scallops are dynamite, roasted oysters are great (it’s hard to find truly flavorful roasted oysters and these deliver) and their chicken and sausage gumbo is hard to beat. There are two types of bread pudding in the world, really bad and amazing. This is the latter! Can’t wait to return! Only thing I wouldn’t rave about is their cocktails but we only tried 2. Not bad, just not great.Parking: The parking garage is paid but the restaurant validates.

Great meal and service from Rocco! Shared duck poppers, etouffe, gumbo and Brussels sprouts. All very, very good. 200 bucks for one of each plus a mixed drink and a tea. Sat outdoors on a beautiful night. Solid 8 out of 10

The ambiance was great at Eunice. We reserved a table on the patio, however the hostess tried to seat us on the inside upon arrival. Us notifying the hostess of our patio reservation seemed to throw the remainder of our experience off. We sat on the patio for thirty minutes with several waiters walking past us Several times. It wasn't until we finally stopped someone to ask about our waiter, that we were served. The food on the other tables looked great but I guess we ordered the wrong items, our food was terrible. We received no suggestions from the waiter on what to order or even an ask if we were familiar with the menu. The waiter simply took our order, answered what we thought to ask and brought our food out. I believe the overall experience could have been saved with good attentive and helpful service which we did not receive.

Good service and atmosphere. Menu is not labeled appropriately. Scallops contain a meat sauce which is a huge issue for pescetarian diners as well as those with an alpha gal allergy (not labeled as having this sauce on the menu). Pork chop my friend got is also fried (not labeled on the menu). The chef's menu should be more clear as to what is actually being served. Was so sick after dining here (suspect they did not take my allergy seriously). Server was super nice and understanding, best part of the experience. Coming from a family of trained chefs was very disappointed.

I went to Eunice last night and although the service was great (Ishmael) was our server; The food was subpar. I was expecting more. Started off with Gulf Oysters, they were great. We ordered barbecue shrimp and the cast iron cornbread. The cornbread was really good (a little overcooked) but nonetheless, it was good. The barbecue shrimp had a great sauce, its a cross between gravy and bbq sauce, but the shrimp was off. Too much mercury and was just not good. The crawfish etouffee was just ok, nothing to write home about and the roasted chicken had good flavor, a little dry but the side sauce makes up for it.The gnocchi was just not good at all, it had a funny taste and overcooked. I actually sent that one back.It was my daughter’s birthday and we ordered the bread pudding. They brought it out with a candle and didn’t charge us for it which was nice. My daughter said it was very sweet but good.I don’t know I would ever go back but I’m glad we tried it.

Six good friends enjoyed dinner last night and all gave it rave reviews. We arrived at 5:30 and left around 8:15 and we were all pleasantly surprised at the noise level, which we anticipated would be high, but was not bad at all. Our server was terrific, the food delicious, and the decor just lovely... will be back!

If the food could be improved, this place would be perfect! Everyone, including other patrons, were kind and complimentary to be around. The etouffee lacked flavor, the jumbo gulf shrimp & grits were flavorful but the grit were a bit runny, and the carrot cake surprisingly had applesauce on top with a sherbert like ice-cream (not a good combination at all). The only flavorful items was the cajun duck poppers. Again, the service and ambience was great, just not worth sending the money on the subpar food. I would only recommend for lite bites and drinks.

Food seems less thrilling than in the past. Softshell crab benedict was bland -- like no lemon in the hollandaise. Gumbo was good, but just gumbo. Lemon ice box pie -- seems to have left out the lemon! (Whatever happened to the magical pastry chef from before?) Good crowd, but not jammed for Easter Sunday brunch. Odd; expected more folks. Service less than attentive; short staffed? Still, I have loved Eunice and will continue, though looking for the "good old" Eunice.
