bad service and poor customer relations are enough to kill just about any food organization even if their product is excellent!!! add this to extremely high prices and it's a formula for failure especially when there are so many great bakeries (especially la sicilia) with great product and customer service!!!

The Veruca salt cake is totally worth $61.50 (for 8" as of March 2024). It's described as "devil's food cake paired with salted caramel buttercream, pretzel crunch and Valrhona Caramelia crunchy pearls". The cake was well balanced, not too sweet, and had really great texture. This is a cake that I definitely cannot make myself at home at my current skill level. It was too perfect! I really appreciated the neat hand writing. You are allowed three words... generally it's "Happy Birthday (Name)". The baker wrote it much neater than I can do with a pencil or pen. Well done! It's controversial, but I wasn't a huge fan of an automatic gratuity of 15 percent and being asked twice to tip online, especially before receiving the cake or experiencing the service. It can be manually adjusted whatever value you prefer, but I rather the employee's wages be fairly baked into the price - just personal preference. We bought some day-old cookies for a discounted price. No regrets there! We enjoyed every bit of it! No vegan options (currently) for those who live that life style - sorry! If you want the cake, you must order in advance. I ordered the day before. Just do it! You'll love it!

One of my favorite places in Houston! The food is always amazing, love the creative specials on the weekends and the consistent offerings. I’ve never had a bad bite! The owner & team members are so warm and welcoming, they make it a wonderful neighborhood spot. I love bringing our family and out of town guests for a special treat while in town!

3 stars because I love the treats but the owner is rude. I feel that you could have an awesome establishment if you altered your attitude and adopted a warm, inviting personality! It would make all the difference for your business! Awhile back, I asked you about ordering custom cupcakes and was treated like you didn’t want my business at all.. you acted annoyed, bothered, and disinterested in helping me. Opposite of what one would expect when walking into a place like this! It was so very weird to me. I’m in sales myself and would never turn off someone who wants to order from me- that would be absurd! I love the desserts but hesitate going in because I was just so turned off by your treatment to me that one time. But one time is all it takes. The rest of the staff seem very friendly.

The desserts and pastries are amazing, but I honestly can’t deal with the owner’s lousy, rude, nasty demeanor. I’ve been in three times and every time the owner has big time attitude. Like WTH? I’m in a good mood when I come in. I’m always friendly to everyone that works there. It just sucks. I mostly feel bad for the employees there. I just hope they’re treated better than the customers. Won’t be returning.

Our favorites are the Couch Potato (salty and sweet) cookie, and the cream cheese brownie (forgot the name!). We also saw the Sugar Fairy and it was all worth the visit.

I went inside only to be told to order online they did not make an effort to make what I wanted but went home to find my one cake costs over $100.00 dollars and could only put three words on the birthday cake the website is not user friendly this will be the last order they get as so many other bakery's do better.

Super cute atmosphere, creative options, dinging a star because no to limited gluten free options. In 2024 where that's such a common thing for some many people, its worth having a couple options to write home about. But I'll still definitely be
