1st timer at this place. Foods were excellent. Service was awesome. We asked our waitress to get certain food items as the cart has not arrived yet and she went get them for us WITH a SMILE!!! How awesome is that? she has a resemblance of Zhang Ziyi !!! The dinning room is beautiful decor. We'll come back for sure. Parking was a challenge though.

Great food but really long wait time…. Some of the best dim sum dishes in Houston, so definitely worth the wait just don’t go when are super hungry. Service is more buffet style with trays coming to the table! Check them out next time you’re in Houston and have a few hours to spare.

We occasionally come here for Dim Sum. I have no complaints. Service can be slower when packed and busy which is within expectation.

Fung's Kitchen had been around since I was a teenager and it was a real deal dim sum at that time. Now my son wanted to try to see what the hype was all about from friends and family. We went on Sat by 11am and the place was already half full. The interior was clean and inviting after the major remodeling from the fire. The hostess immediately sat us and the carts came rolling in. Some of the waitstaff did not speak English very well so you can point what you want. Of course we picked the most popular ones and tried other items:Ha gao (shrimp dumpling)  - wrapper was a bit thickSui mai (shrimp and pork dumpling)Ha Cheung fun - shrimp in rice noodle rollCha sui bao - bbq pork bun (the bread was a bit dense)Chicken feetJook (rice porridge) - chinese comfort foodPai gwut (steamed pork riblet)Hom sui gok - fried glutinous rice filled with meatLo bak goh - Turnip cakeXiao lung bao - soup dumpling, need to ask the waiter to put in the order; these came out piping hot but very small, not bad but could be biggerSliced pork belly - not a typical dim sum dishLo mai gai - sticky rice wrapped in banana leaves; this came hot but not the same that I had a while backNor mai fun - sticky rice with barely any pieces of ...?Golden lava bun - this was good and the bun itself was soft and the sweet custard flowed out of the bun once opened. The filling was a little too sweet for meMango flavored jello shaped like a bunny - I couldn't resist because the shape was adorable but it was a bit sweet  for my tasteThe downside of 95% of the dishes was the temperature of the food served was cold to barely warm. The price of dim sum went up way too much; seemed like double from decade ago. Dim sum was filling and will be a once a year for us. Probably will try dinner time to see what it's all about.

Old school traditional Chinese Dim Sum with push carts. Lots of delicious options. Suimai & ha cao all on point. We loved the tofu. And finally the salt & pepper shrimp is melt in your mouth good. Highly recommended.

I'm not sure of the weekends are the busiest but on a Sunday, it was. I got here 20 minutes after their opening time of 10:30am. The parking spaces, before valet, were all filled up. Luckily, I was seated right away once I got in the restaurant. There were plenty of tables but it was getting taken every almost every minute. The staffs were very friendly and really helpful! I wanted a specific food item and they went to get it for me. I didn't have to wait for the carts to come around.I don't think I had one bad dish from what I tried: pretty good food quality and consistency. The siumai was juicy, har gow wrapper was transparent and bouncy, rice noodle was soft and chewy, pork belly skin was crispy and meat with fat ratio was balanced. The cold marinated chicken was not bad, either.Great place for big groups of people and I actually saw someone with their dog inside so I'm guessing you can bring pets?Parking: There is parking spaces and they do have complimentary valet as well. If all the parking spaces are taken, valet is the only other option.

One of the best Chinese restaurants in the country. I have been to multiple Chinatowns all across the USA, and I have to say Fung's Kitchen has one of the highest quality and freshest seafood. I love that they still do the dim sum carts on the weekends and it is always packed during peak dimsum hours on most weekends. I can't wait to visit Houston again just to eat here at Fung's Kitchen.
