This is ridiculous I have been trying to get ahold of someone to make a reservation for 2 weeks now. I have called the number almost 10x a day, I have emailed the email on the website and get a bounced back email every time telling me that email is invalid, and I've summited my contact information on their website to get contacted and still NOTHING! At this point I don't want to waist my time coming here. The reviews on the food don't seem to be great either.

The only reason they getting 1 star is because I have to put one in order to post a review made reservations for my wife’s birthday weeks ago, I have confirmation and everything for 10/15 which is today!!!! At 5:00! We arived at 4:45 and the restaurant is closed!! No1 is in the band no cars!!! This is absolutely ridiculous!!!! Just ruined our night completely!! Bad review!!!! I can’t even call a manager because the place is closed!!

The best thing at Gatsby's was the appetizer, the deviled eggs with shrimp. After that it was the side I had, french fries. Unfortunately the Delmonico Ribeye wasn't all that flavorful, to pay that much money for a mediocre steak is not worth it and a waste of money that could've been spent on a better steak. The service was good and the restaurant was nice but that still doesn't make up for the steak.

I would not recommend this place at allll. Basic foundation of a restaruant is customer service. I booked my birthday dinner in advance to just show up and closed. Reservation was for 8:45 meaning most of the restaurants are closed! Literally ruined my birthday. Common decency would cancel all reservation. Take your restaurant off of open table. Smh

I went here with my sister for her birthday and we really enjoyed it. We did not have a reservation but we went around the time they opened on a weekday. The manager was nice and we were able to dine quickly with no wait. Our server was very nice; he recommended the deviled eggs. I don’t really like deviled eggs but theirs are delicious. This is a great place to go for a date or special occasion.

A year ago this restaurant was easily 5 stars and one of my favorite steakhouses in Houston. The food and atmosphere were spectacular. I don't know what caused such a huge change in quality. Weekday nights are not the most popular time but other restaurants in Montrose book out each night. We were one of 2 other tables in this place the entire night. The staff was very friendly and their tropical cocktail was delicious! The margarita had a very unusual flavor though. Appetizers - lobster bisque was excellent. The Burrata salad was okay - it was a bit cold. The Caesar salad dressing was too fishy. The bread basket was disappointing - previously the bread was warm and fresh, this time it was extremely dry and overly toasted but the pretzel bread was great. The steaks were good! The peppercorn sauce is more of a au jus but still nice. The sweet corn, mashed potatoes, and fries were all quite nice! The crème brûlée had a curdled custard - quite disappointing. The bread pudding was tough. Overall really disappointing. Unless there's another change and the restaurant goes back to its old quality, I will be unlikely to return. Previously the high prices were justifiable with superb food but now it is certainly not worth it. Maybe it was an off night for the restaurant.

went on a random Tuesday and for our luck there was a large party in the back room that delayed service. Food was amazing but not cheep. Drinks expensive as well. If you like a trendy place with upscale ambiance this is a nice place to go.

Very nice restaurant with a old time feel, they were playing some frank Sinatra and some bandstand 40s music. Some nice background music to the dark and moody dining room. Black, red and gold with some antique gold chandeliers made it perfect for some bourbon pre-dinner cocktail.Parking: Valet was $10 and it's easy so just bring cash

Normally do not dine at steak houses as I feel good about my ability to cook steaks at home, but will admit that the steaks we had were the best ever. Cooked to perfection and served sizzling on the plate.

I never write reviews often, but I am always willing to write a positive review and also a not so favorable one when it deserves it. This restaurant was the worst experience I have ever had at a steakhouse. Not sure how you mess up what your sole purpose is, cooking a fabulous steak, serving some amazing sides and making sure the drinks are full. We had an appie that was terrible, had to send it back. It was bacon which is amazing at Vic and Anthony’s. What i received was 2 giant unseasoned slabs of 1.5” fat with some sauce on it, that tasted awful. I mean who can mess up bacon ?!We ordered some Veuve and had to request a proper chiller and pour every glass ourselves. The food took so long that we were done our single bottle of champagne and never got asked again if we wanted more drinks or water refills. We were very kind and understanding still, and ordered some bread between the appie and the long awaited meal and the bread was even terrible ?!?! It was dry and tasted old and was cold. Our plates came finally and I get the plates are suppose to be “hot” but mine was so hot it melted to the table cloth. It fried my scallops on the plate so I chiseled them off with my fork and ate what I could. Never once got asked how anything was. We left smiling and just saying “we wasted a nice date night out on a disappointing meal and experience. I saw good and bad reviews but opted to give something new a try for a steakhouse and it was a mistake. …. ;(

Oh my gosh, I can only speak for my meal, but it was absolutely delicious!!! I had the filet mignon, scallop appetizer, and the broccoli. They were all perfect. Service was good and the time from order to table was great! If I'm back in Houston I'll definitely be back!

Ultimately I'm giving a 3/10 based on the overall experience. I booked this restaurant for my birthday and I honestly would have tried this for another occasion. Pros: The vibe at the bar was very nice, the bartender was very knowledgeable about both the drinks and the menu. The oysters were great! The drinks were 10/10. The food was just okay 6.5/10. The key lime banana pudding cheesecake really exceeded my expectations. 10/10. Valet even offered to take my pictures and was super nice and patient! Cons: My server Nick seemed to have an attitude and even admitted he was having a long day and brought that energy to our table. He made us feel rushed and when we asked questions about the menu and asked for suggestions he was very nonchalant and didn't give us much guidance. The host wasn't very welcoming. For it to be my birthday celebration no one acknowledged that. I called to push my reservation time back an hour earlier that day, and I was told they could only push it back 30minutes because they were fully booked for the even. But when I arrived for my reservation at 7pm there was no only one table seated in the entire establishment. If I were to go back, I'd most likely only visit the bar. I was really looking forward to dining here as it was my first time as well as my guests! I was a little disappointed,
