Wonderful neighborhood Italian restaurant. You will feel right at home. Just pick a special, or point your finger in a general direction on the menu... Everything is great!

Good enough food to make you want to come back and try the rest of the menu. Quirky decor, clientele a bit older. Wait staff was hit or miss.

No great decoration but who needs that when the food is so good? We were four and all of us had different fish versions. They were all excellent! We even had dessert, (afogatto) something we never do and loved it.

It was definitely a cool Italian restaurant. Would I say the best I’ve been to? Probably no. However their food was good and the environment was really cool too.

A friendly and kind of cozy place with some of my favorite Italian food. Feels very family run with the vibe, and the service was great.

My boyfriend and I came here for our Valentine's celebration! We went on a Saturday night, and it was packed to the brim. Luckily, we had a reservation. While waiting for our table, I talked to a lovely woman who claims to go there quite often and swears by this place! The service was stellar! Our waiter was warm and inviting. Now onto the food: Appetizer: gamberi al diavolo Entrees: tagliata di lombatello & spaghetti alla carbonara Desserts: affogato & panna cotta al yogurt We loved the sauce the gamberi al diavolo had and wished there was more! The steak was cooked at a perfect medium rare, and the arugula with dressing was a nice touch. The carbonara was the perfect creaminess and was rich with flavor. I want the recipe for the panna cotta! I'm not kidding! And you can't go wrong with an affogato Overall, this place seems to be loved by many! I've been looking for a go-to Italian restaurant in Houston but nothing comes to mind...until now! I can't wait to come back and try the bolognese!

Great place to have date night. I especially recommend the home made pasta. It's amazing.

Love this place. The best carbonara in town and a lot of other amazing dishes. I hate the wait, but I guess is the price you have to pay for good pasta.

There are 6 entrees I really like here and I ordered 2 of them this week on the same night, one dine-in, one-togo. My dine in meal was the Bolognese and the togo one was the 1/2 portion Bietola. Both were awesome, fresh, moist without being too greasy, aromatic and very delicious in two different styles. I also thought my bolognese order was even better than my last couple times here bc the pasta was not too thin or too thick for its meat sauce. I should've kept it original like I did this time, bc it was just right in ratio to the rest. The noodles were very soft. The meat gravy was very tasty, savory and runny but chunky at the same time. One of the best bolognese down here and authentic with mild, but catching ingredients. The bietola was very tasty, had its usual tender pocket-shaped pasta and tasted exotic with its leafy Swiss chard, rich goat cheese filling, earthy sage butter, etc. Nothing was off in saltiness either, which was terrific. The service was very efficient and friendly.

So delicious! You can not leave Giacomo's without trying their meatballs, whether it be their Polpetti Puccini appetizer dish, or in their Rigatoni Puccini as a pasta dish. Best meatballs ever! I have tried Giacomo's three times now, with always leaving extremely full and happy. Everything I have tried has been fantastic. Our server Mike was so kind and knowledgeable of the menu, and hope to see him every time. The front room ambiance is much better than the large room (a bit stale in there) but the food and staff make up for all of that. Giacomo's is 10 stars!

I cannot believe it has taken us this long to go to Giacomo's, and it is sadly our loss!!! One of the best Italian dinners we have had out in a long time. Food: The pasta is fresh and perfectly cooked. The capesante alla griglia is one of the best things I have eaten in a long time: a perfectly-cooked, large, sea scallop, served on swiss chard polenta with a mushroom and butter sauce. The tortelli di beitola is a simple, delectable dish. We had a half order, and there were 8 ravioli to split - swiss chard and goat cheese-filled, fresh-pasta semiluna ravioli in a butter sauce. Amazing! We also shared the rigatoni Puccini - a large bowl of rigatoni and meatballs - truly a delicious comfort food dish. A very respectable Caesar Salad, and the crostini with mortadella/ricotta mousse was wonderful. Portions are very generous, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. Good selections on the wine list. Only beer and wine served, so get your cocktails before, if you have to have them. Service: Friendly, knowledgable, fast. All the recommendations made were spot on. Ambience: Very casual, comfortable dining. There is outdoor seating for better weather. A bit noisy inside, but not too, and most likely due to where we were sitting. Things to know: Reservations. Get them (especially on Fridays and Saturdays, as was told to us by everyone in the restaurant). Also know that they state they do not seat incomplete parties. Parking is very limited, so plan for it. Dinner was so wonderful we are returning with out of town guests in less than a week. I cannot wait!

Everything in food and the service was great. The "ambiance" consisted of crowded tables without table clothes and a high nose level. We enjoyed the food and service and had a good time. In addition parking was difficult when we arrived about 6:45 and finally found a place a couple short blocks away so plan accordingly.Parking: Be careful where you park even in the street. Several towing signs.

This place is simply amazing, some of the best food I have ever had in my life, it's AFFORDABLE, and our server Luis was amazing. I'm typically very hesitant going to a Italian place in Houston due to me being a very good cook and other cities like NYC being the meca, but I will be for sure coming back and telling everyone about this place.
