I always loved stopping at Home Slice in Austin for a slice of NY pizza so I needed to try it in Houston! We got the Medium Margarita Pizza & a slice of White Pie. The Margarita pizza was a bit on the salty/greasy side which was a bit of a let down. The service is great! Everyone is willing to help and the servers are on their game. There is indoor seating great for date nights and outdoor seating as well. The parking is a little tough. When we got there the parking in the front was full but we were able to find a good side of the block parking.

Their pizza is awesome! And the crust, oh my goodness! I've only been there twice to pick up a slice to go but there's going to be another visit when I'm in the area again!!

Solid spot for pizza Me and my gf came here for dinnner and we did not regret it! We ordered a pepperoni pizza and it was a great bite to end the night. Service was kind of slow for just one pizza so -1 star. Nice vibe / atmosphere! :) Thank you! -Santangelo Balli Gonzales

I'll update my rating based on a couple of reasons: 1. Better slice choices on the daily board. Finally, but I'm still upset that for slices, my choices are restricted. If speed & efficiency is the point, there's a better way to achieve desired results for both consumer & operator. 2. The music is way better, more diversified. That improves ambience IMO. 3. Still love those deuce coupe booths inside. The best spot in this joint. IMO, this is only a convenient neighborhood spot within walking distance. If I want better pizza, better quality slices can be had elsewhere, even within Midtown.

The pizza: Pretty good. It was crispier in Austin, but that was their OG location so I understand it being the best there. Their cold sandwiches: That sesame roll. I dream of the hot peppers. I've been like 4 times in the last few weeks just to get the turkey sandwich.

The pizza is ok but a hidden gem..... the Italian sub and other sandwiches are amazing ! Unexpected and pleasant surprise. They are very hearty packed with meat, the toasted bread is also very good. Add peppers and it takes the sun to another level.

Always skeptical of pizza in general in Houston, even more so when claiming it's NY style. We got two slices (cheese and meatball/onion). Both were great, had a bit of crunch but also a little bit of chew in the dough. Quality ingredients and great service. Kudos to the owner, Jeff, who loaned my daughter a chair so she could wait in line for record store day a little bit more comfortably (has a cast on for a broken leg). Thanks again!

Our first time here. Pizza and service was great. We had a large pepperoni and green pepper. We will be back for more.

The indoor seating has dim lighting and the light fixtures set a cute date night vibe. The booths inside are next to a small walkway so may seem a bit tight but it's not. The outdoor seating has cute decor too! Parking is limited and a bit hard to maneuver around. Pizza options are a lot! It's great that they have a window that you can come up to for the slice too. They have pizzas display in a case inside to help with your selection. The pizza is thin and has a crunch and has great flavor. I always get the pepperoni pizza and you can't go wrong with it! The workers are efficient and the food comes out fast. They give good recommendations when asked. Definitely have come a few times!

My go to place for NY style pizza. Brings me back to my late night Austin 6th street days. Great flavors, perfect greasy floppy pizza. Vibe of the restaurant is vintage and eclectic. Friendly staff. You can get a slice or a whole pie.

One of the beat pizzas I had. I ordered one pepperoni & 1 clam pizza. The clam pizza tasted amazing! Will come back !

Certainly not the Austin location, but the pizza is great and it’s a solid weekday choice

As visitors, we did not know Houston had a Home Slice! We originally tried it in Austin and were craving it so badly that we almost contemplated driving to Austin until we realized this location was open and available. Atmosphere is great, food is great and I love the patio seating outside. There are table sizes for small-large parties and they had complimentary water in a container outside. Definitely recommend!
