This place should probably put their policy of not accepting solo diners after 6 pm somewhere on their website, maybe near the 90 minute limit, rather than putting it nowhere and blindsiding a solo diner by turning them away when there’s open tables that are fully visible. Just food for thought.

We came a bit later in the night but had an amazing time. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating, especially Ellen. She was so helpful and kind. I highly recommend this spot! And they close at 1am on the weekends!

We just had a dinner today 3/4/24 for 4 people. We ordered 2 Mocktails and 1 pink lemonade. At the end the billShows that we order 2 cocktails & we spoke to the server and said that we didn’t order cocktails we ordered mocktails. The server said that it’s the same price which it’s $15 ( see picture). So I went to talked to the manager and said that we are not happy about it. So he said “go to write the review about it and go talk to the owners. This is what the owner wants”I was so upset with his response. He can’t solve the problem and also told me to contact the owner & write the review about it. What’s kind of service is it ?I work in the restaurant industry for my entire life, The $15 Mocktail is way too expensive. The server should advise us when we ordered. The acting manager should know how to deal with customers.Just be careful when you order something off the menu at this place. They don’t have service mind at all. They just want to up charge you without notifying.
It was my first time going! I went with a group of 5 of us. We ordered about 12 meats and went a little over the 90min. Next time we will not be ordered that many meats. They do charge extra when you go over so be mindful. There was a wait time to get a table as it was nighttime and the weekend. I’d highly recommend the galbi, brisket, ribeye steak, and scallion pancakes. They were the stars of the night for me. I’d recommend going in with a game plan of what you want, look at the pictures and discuss what you want as the time is limited.
I can here for Valentine's Day with my boyfriend, my brother, and my brothers girlfriend. I was super excited as I heard many great things about this place. The food was not the greatest, but still okay. The server was very attentive and nice. At the end of the night when we were ready for our bill we wanted to split the bill down the middle evenly(since the price is per/person). The server brought his toast machine to the table to check us out. We tapped our cards to pay and so forth. Fast forward to two days later, my boyfriend got charged twice. I then asked my brother if he got charged as well. He said he also got charged twice(bank statements were posted, not pending). Essentially we got charged 4 times total. I thought this was super weird as we tapped our card on the toast machine, it wasn't as if the server could have accidentally ran it twice per card. I called Hongdae to see what was going on, but they seem to never answer their phones. We had to call our banks to dispute it. Wouldn't come back after this. It’s not worth coming back just for headache. There’s other better Korean barbecue places. Be aware!

This place is fantastic. I got seated immediately in the middle of lunch. It's Korean BBQ so you cook the food yourself on a little grill on the table. And it is all you can eat for 90 minutes. The service is incredible. They are constantly checking in on you to see if you want to order more. And the portions are massive. I had to ask for smaller servings so I could try as much as possible. You also get every single one of the sides on the menu served first including kimchi, bean sprouts, cucumbers and sauces for dipping the meats. Then you can order up to 5 proteins at one time. And they're all delicious. Standouts include black Angus LA galbi, galbi marinated pork belly, ribeye steak bulgogi and the garlic butter jumbo shrimp. However everything is great. I never felt rushed and got great recommendations. Plus constant drink refills. They also change out the grill's burner plate when it gets dirty. And it's only $33.00! There might not be a better deal in the entire city. I'll be back all the time.
