Title: Disappointing Dining Experience at LA Fisheria RestaurantReview:My recent visit to LA Fisheria Restaurant in the Theater District of Downtown Houston left much to be desired. The ambience was lackluster, with plain decor and uncomfortable wooden seats that made for an uninviting atmosphere. Additionally, the air conditioning seemed poorly regulated, leaving the dining area feeling stuffy and uncomfortable.Upon the waitress's recommendation, I opted for the Red Snapper, only to be met with disappointment. The fish was disappointingly tough and rubbery, resembling frozen fish more than a fresh catch. When I voiced my concerns to the chef/owner, instead of addressing the issue professionally, he seemed defensive and finally admitted that they had received a subpar shipment of Red Snapper. This raised serious concerns about the quality and safety of the food being served.While the sauce accompanying the fish helped mask its rubbery taste, it was concerning that the restaurant chose to serve fish they knew was of inferior quality rather than taking responsibility and returning it to the distributor. It's clear that the owner's priorities did not lie with the satisfaction and well-being of their customers.I initially discovered LA Fisheria Restaurant through a recommendation on a site listing the "10 Best Restaurants" from the ST Regis Hotel in Houston. However, this experience has made me question the reliability of such recommendations in the future. While the owner did remove the cost of the fish from my bill, it's disappointing that it took a complaint for any action to be taken. Overall, I left feeling dissatisfied and disillusioned with the restaurant's lack of quality control and customer care.
