Service matters! No matter how gorgeous the restaurant is, no matter how beautiful the outside sitting is, as long as service is not up to your expectations the customers will leave the place with a sour note. This is exactly what happened to us last Saturday when we with four other friends (3 couples) sit outside with high expectations. Service was so under par that we thought the waiters were under training. First of all, it was so confusing that one waiter came by to take our drink orders and then all of a sudden later on another waiter started waiting on us. We were told that they do waiting on tables as a team. I don’t think we like that because of the fact that whatever you may have requested from the first waiter, the other one wouldn’t know it. It took almost 10 minutes to get our std. bread basket after we almost begged for it. The first server also had a sarcastic attitude, showing to us with his body language. When we asked him whether he would want us to get the cocktails that was listed on the cocktail menu, his answer was that “I’m not your parents to tell you that “. When our cocktails arrived we also had to wait another 10 minutes to get our water. The second server was better when he took our dinner orders, but then he asked us whether we wanted to see the wine list when we had already ordered a bottle of wine from the first waiter, and the bottle was on the table. These were the specific examples that I am writing here as such this beautiful restaurant cannot sustain the good remarks if the service continues like this. It seems like the waiters or should I say, wait staff, should be trained better to accommodate the level of professionalism and quality expectations. Please note that one of the other couples that were in our group had already mentioned to us that their original experience at this restaurant was also not very good because of the service as well. Also, I would like to mention that the some of the shells of mussels (80%) that my friend had ordered as an appetizer were “closed” not “opened” meaning that they were NOT fresh. We mentioned that to our waiter and he said he would go back and talk to the chef, and he would come back to us. Guess what, he never came back with any kind of remarks on these mussel shells appeared, closed tightly.

We had a great experience at La Griglia. The food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. I will be returning for another great meal.

We absolutely love La Griglia! Been coming here for years. All the free breads with dipping sauces are delectable. Love their fish entrees! All of it really. When we want to impress visitors (we entertain intl guests from France, Italy, Poland), we take them here. Mother's days are really good here too. I work downtown and we live in Pearland but it is worth the drive.

What happened to this place?I remember this place having great things on the menu! Service wasn’t the best. It used to be a nice chill vibe not super fancy and it’s completely different now. It’s overpriced, too fancy and too small!!! The portions are so small, 90% of what was on the old menu is no longer there, it’s overpriced and not the best. I was super disappointed overall and do not plan on coming back. It’s not worth trying.

The only positive thing I could say about La Griglia is that the restaurant itself is beautiful.Apart from that, the service was terrible. It took about 20 minutes for us to get menu’s. We had a 7 o’clock reservation and didn’t get our food until 8:45. Once we got our food, my wedding soup was barely warm and they forgot someone’s steak so then that person was left waiting another 15 minutes for their steak. Once they finally brought it, the steak was also cold. Lastly, I definitely got food poisoning from this place and was sick to my stomach that night and the following day. Take your money elsewhere!

So I never gave my review of new location LaGriglia from the other night so here it goes…The atmosohere gets a 10, the music, the interior was on point ..We started with beef carpaccio , I liked the vinegrette arugula salad served in the middle, the beef had little flavor without it.. I personally like shaved parm on mine ..then we had the artichoke appetizer that tasted like it had been swimming in olive oil for a few days and then fried… really not very tastey, my filet was decent, the veal piccata had too many mushrooms, the flounder piccata was good but could have been any protein with that sauce , and pasta bolonaise was probably the best dish served. Our waiter didn’t speak any English so there you couldn’t ask any questions about the menu, very strange, don’t think we will be back. I think of a dozen other Italian restaurants I like better???oh also they serve pizza strips and cafeteria style rolls?? Why?? Italian crusty bread is sooooo good… no butter no olive oil dipping .. boo

I live across the street from this place and the valet are absolutely horrible with customers cars! I see them peeling out of the parking lot. Today I watched one of them scrape the front bumper on the road turning out of the parking lot. Looked like there was damage to the bumper. Beware!!!

Food was outstanding, and the energetic atmosphere was perfect for our anniversary. Unfortunately service fell a little short.

Good spot. Food is great here and service is just fine. The tables are too packed together and then when the cheese wheel comes to the table it becomes dangerously close when the fire gets going. We got a bunch of stuff to try though and loved everything. We’ll be back. The hamachi crudo was a little overpriced relative to the pricing of other items on the menu and it was a dry crudo dish which felt more like a sashimi plate than a crudo- Hamachi Crudo- Beef carpaccio- Raviolo- Ravioli Laziali- Mezze Maniche Straciatella*- Pappardelle Bolognese*- Butternut Squash Risotto*- Strawberry Cheesecake- Italian Cookie Platter

The pork chop was excellent, very tender and the sauce really paired well. The carbonara was average compared to similar places. Great selection of wines, but very limited cocktails options. The server was knowledgeable, however it had an attitude if we didn’t get his recommendations. The tiramisu was not very pleasant but the key lime dessert was average.

Marvelous meal as usual (Damian's has been consistently high quality forever) and excellent service. We had a large table (7), and everyone raved about the evening. Always the best.

Everything was to die for! Servers are excellent and attentive. Highly recommend the carpaccio and the chicken entree with peppers and goat cheese. The space is beautiful!

We used to think this was a fantastic happy hour! Unfortunately they moved to a new location and there is no longer a happy hour. The food was always okay but not worth full price. We will be holding out for a happy hour. If not, there are so many places just as good in the area!
