We were disappointed when we booked the reservation expecting a Korean BBQ grill experience and realized they took out majority of the grills and we couldn't get into that section. We decided to stay and the food was delicious! We still ordered off the KBBQ menu and were not disappointed! Unfortunately, we had terrible service. It took forever for our waitress to take our order. Then, we received our meats but not the bonchon that goes with it (when the surrounding tables received the bonchon before their meats arrived). We sat there for a good 5 minutes before the bartender came over and he had to finish out our table. Another 5 minutes goes by before we received the rest of our meal to be able to start eating. It was delicious food but we had a terrible exper with the service. The other tables seemed to have attentive servers so maybe it was a one off situation with us...

I was craving Korean food and I didn't want to drive all the way to the other side so I decided to give this place a try. I live close by and I always drive by this spot soooo.I actually am not a big fan of Korean bbq dining bc your entire body will smell like bbq after dining in.Walking in, I thought it was interesting bc it was totally a american brunch spot vibes not a kbbq vibe. They have areas specifically for bbq, and then the bar, the dining room and the outside patio.I personally really liked this layout. Their menu has a lot to choose from, mix of Korean food, Japanese and other American plates.I got the bulgogi rice cakes (spicy) and it was so good! It wasn't spicy spicy but it still have some spice to it. You can always go with mild. The flavor and portions were great. The egg on top really helped bc it was quite strongly seasoned. I ended up ordering a bowl of rice to eat with the leftover bulgogi. It was delicious.Overall I can see myself coming to this place again. Customer service was good and everyone was welcoming. They have separate parking lot which is great. Cool murals.

Came here today after they remolded and changed their menu. The last time I came, before they remodeled, it was 10/10 amazing. Sadly, my experience today was subpar. There were problems with the grill, and even by the end of our meal, the eggs and corn were not cooked. They brought out scrambled eggs to replace them, which were also subpar. To add to that, our meat was burnt. It didn’t seem like anyone really knew what they were doing, and the only good thing about our visit was the yellowtail crudo. We are disappointed by the re-brand and won’t be recommending to anyone.

We were a group of 10 and the service was amazing. Mama Enn, the mother of the owner, and the staff was so kind! The food was cherry on top. Very good food. We ate the KFC bites, the Shishito Peppers, and the Combo

We had a wonderful time at Mapojeong for a Saturday date night. The short rib was divine, the service was very friendly, the owner came by a couple times and was so warm and inviting. We will certainly go back!

This is a very confusing restaurant and not what we expected. The decor was confusing and almost a little more country. It definitely didn't echo Korean BBQ at all. The aroma of food was welcoming, which was a plus. The service was initially confusing and felt erratic. However, it soon was rectified, and they made every effort to ensure the remainder of our evening was as pleasant as possible. There was a small area that had self BBQ cooking capabilities. We expected the entire restaurant to be this way. The small area that hosted this kind of experience felt very disconnected from the restaurant and like a complete design after thought. Very odd. The food, however, was really good. It is very tasty and loaded with flavor and delicious tender meats. After enjoying too many other amazing Korean BBQ experiences in Houston, I don't envision myself returning to this restaurant.

The service was excellent and the food was delicious! Mama Ann the owner is so kind and attentive, if you don’t know what you’re doing they will even cook the food at your table for you! It was my husbands birthday and at the end of the meal they brought him a card signed by all the staff. Korean BBQ is always a fun experience but here they go above and beyond!

Newly renovated. The place is clean and chic. They have a nice huge bar and chill music making this place a lovely place to hang out not just for the delicious food but also the atmosphere. Service was excellent and I would highly recommend their special menu that comes with free flow of salad, banchan and rice. Tte meat is cooked for you so you don’t end up stinking like you do at the regular Korean BBQ places. There are still a few tables with the traditional BBQ stove if you prefer that option but do make reservations for those tables as they are limited. There’s complimentary valet parking so don’t have to worry about finding a parking spot. Beef brisket was excellent and their beast

I love coming here! The restaurant owner (I believe) is a short Korean lady. She's so very kind and attentive to her guests. She makes sure to personally come and greet each table. I had been to the restaurant before and when I saw her, she recognized me and gave me a big hug. I'll be back again!
