New sushi spot in town! They have great happy hour menus and great selections of food. Their makimono are delicious. I'll be back to try more food.

The food here is absolutely delightful and flavorful. The ambiance is incredible, perfect for a date. The service is punctual and the staff takes pride in describing the meal. Every aspect of the dining experience is described with precision. The kitchen is constantly working on masterpiece after masterpiece. Overall, the experience is delightful and the desserts are killer. Not one staff seemed out of place and constantly kept the momentum of the restaurant moving.

Yum! We really enjoyed our experience here and can't wait to come back. We came on Saturday around noon and were the first customers. There were only two other tables while we were dining. This place definitely deserves more business. The interior is beautiful decorated with walls of lucky cats attached. The dining area is open and clean. We ordered the followed dishes: Chirashi bowl 5/5: Enjoyed every bite, very generous amount of dish. Sushi combo ni 5/5: Great value for lunch, not to mention delicious. Honey vanilla milk buns 3/5: While we enjoyed this dish, it is hard to justify the price for two tiny buns and butter. Flying money cat roll 5/5: We just found our new favorite roll! The smell of the chili oil acts a primer before the perfectly balanced combination of rice and protein hits the taste buds. Definitely will order this roll every time we come here. Our server was friendly and attentive, without being overbearing since we were the only customers for a while. High recommend giving this place a try.

Returned a year later and still up to standard. Come in during social hour to take advantage of the specials- they have a pretty good selection on the menu even if some items are only $1 less than usual. I think we pretty much ate off that menu for the night. The lychee cosmo was delicious. Load me up! The Tayaki that accompanies the chawanmushi...chefs kiss. I wish you could just order another round of those with it! And please close out your meal with that Ube churro. The churros were pillowy on the inside crunchy on the outside and the Ube cream and Calamansi dips were just so good. Update on parking- valet now for a fee it looked like, but garage is validated for 3hrs which is awesome!

Had a good experience at money cat for my friends birthday during happy hour! Their non alcoholic cocktails are delicious and their cosmo was also delicious. We actually didn't know it was happy hour until our server mentioned it, so definitely ask as the deals on rolls and apps are pretty good! I would say the rolls overall were my favorite part and the nigiri was good as well. The apps would be my second favorite part of the meal as they were delicious, especially the Brussel sprouts and milk bread! The restaurant itself is very cute and would be a nice work lunch or date spot. 4/5 stars only for price as it felt very close to prices for sushi at restaurants like Uchi or Kata Robata which have a more fine dining experience however the food itself was great! If going at happy hour I think the prices are much more responsible and for some rolls even a steal.

More of an experience than a meal! I just loved the creativity and approach to food and drinks, feels curated rather than prepared. So much love goes into it! We sat at the bar and that's the way to go for a first timer. The bartender explained everything as we went and recommended the perfect plates for us. Great selection of sake and foreign beers. The atmosphere is a on the upscale side, but we had a great conversation going with nearby patrons. I recommend going here medium hungry with time to enjoy the theatrics-totally worth it!

I really enjoyed our experience at Money Cat! We had a small feast consisting of the milk buns, wagyu yaki, spicy crunchy tuna, shisho crunchy, uni pasta, cocoa brownie, and ube churro. Each dish was distinctly flavorful and its own unique experience. While I enjoyed everything, the shisho crunchy sushi roll and ube churro really stole the show. I can't wait to come back and try more menu items! To top it off, the service was great. Our waitress was informative and attentive. All the staff the delivered the food provided an overview of the dish. Everyone was extremely kind. I can't recommend Money Cat enough!

This place was nice - food options were unique and interesting. Enjoyed most dishes perhaps except the ube dessert which felt it used too much ube flavour essence rather than the real deal (it was a very deep purple colour). The service was a bit haphazard unfortunately as the server brought things out of order throughout the night and left us waiting for some time. For example, he brought a dish out and we didn't have any cutlery, or brough sushi but we didn't have any soy sauce or wasabi. He was also talking about how we absolutely must have the foie gras PB&J bite at the end, just before dessert, and then he brought it out before some of main dishes so we were confused. He did his best but given the price and the type of restaurant this was, I'd expect the service to be a little bit more professional.

The ambiance is nice! They validate your parking if you park in the garage. The veggie sushi is good. I gave four stars because they didn't give soy sauce wasabi or ginger with it. I had to ask for it. The lychee martini was delicious. The server was friendly and I'll come back as they have many vegetarian options. Able to handle large parties.

The Kirby location is relatively new, hence we only saw two tables with patrons when we arrived at 7pm on a Monday. Skeptical, we almost left, but glad we didn't. For starters, we found out Monday was all day Social (happy) Hour with a huge portion of the menu offered at discounted prices, including premium sashimi and drinks. Not too shabby. As we're only the 3rd table occupied, we got the server's full attention. Minh was his name and I couldn't be more pleased with him guiding the evening. His recommendations were on point, from appetizers to hot items. For cold tasting, you must try the Canh Chua, wagyu tataki, and oysters two way. Then hit the sashimi, salmon, and bluefin belly flights. These were all on the HH menu! Get 2 belly flights if you're hungry (worth the HH price tag). We got the signature flying money cat roll also. Then for the warm items we got the milk buns and short ribs. Damn the ribs were so tender! We were so full at this point, but we powered thru. Minh and the night manager, Michael, even got us a free dessert when they found out we were there to celebrate my son's birthday. The ube churros and ice cream were so good that we would have bought it regardless. Minh made sure that we got the best value by choosing items from both the HH menu as well as the main menu since the main has fuller portions. In the end, every thing came out as expected. Not gonna lie, even at mostly HH prices, this dinner did a little damage, especially when we also added drinks. Think along the line of Kata Robata in terms of quality and pricing but a little cheaper due to HH. Highly recommend this place! Ask for Minh. He's cool and funny (his VN is like a Vietglish TikTok video lol) , but more importantly, he knows how to make your dinner special.

I tried Money Cat for lunch, eager to see if it lived up to the hype. And it did for the most part. Everything was delicious. The edamame and brussels sprouts were good staple appetizers. I loved the three-course lunch, which made it easy to sample many dishes, especially when eating with a friend. The katsu sando was good, though not the best I've had, and I loved the bao. There is far more traditional Japanese-based fare than sushi, which I appreciate. While I enjoyed everything I ate, I didn't leave absolutely enamored the way I hoped I might be given all the accolades and best of lists Money Cat landed on. I will definitely be back to try their interesting cocktails. It's a fairly smallish spot so I imagine in the evening it gets crowded.
