I wanted to try a different place to eat at rather than ordering from my usual fast food spots. I found this place on DoorDash and was immediately drawn to it because of the pictures and presentation of the food in the pictures. I wanted to get the oxtail plate but it’s available on Sundays. I went for the Cajun pasta instead and ordered greens and sticky yams on the side. I was so excited when my food arrived. The plate was beautiful and smelt really good. I started with my sides and I must say I was highly disappointed. The sticky yams were terrible. The amount of nutmeg used should be illegal. There was also a sour and citrusy after taste that I have NEVER tasted with yams. It was completely off putting. The greens were not good as well. Seems like they came from a can and they just added smoked meat to make it appear as if they were fresh. I can taste the metal from the inside of the can. For the main entree, the Cajun pasta…terrible. There was entirely TOO much seasoning. The first bite I was overwhelmed with the amount of seasoning. The chicken was not so bad but the seasoning killed it for me. There was only 3 shrimp and they were soggy and mushy. The pasta was slightly over cooked. I’m so pissed I wasted my money. Never again will I order from here.

Something you would never expect from inside a gas station...my plan is try everything on the menu...this is my 3rd time and so far have not been disappointed...if you get a chance check it out...the chicken so far is my favorite...but on "soul food Sunday's" the oxtail is the best...

I ordered the pasta and it taste like nothing but old bay or crab boil seasoning. My shrimp weren’t grilled as shown in the photo they were undercooked. Throwing crawfish boil on fool doesn’t make it Cajun.

I truly don’t understand the 5-Star Reviews unless the cheeseburgers and egg rolls I see people mention are much better than what I got. I ordered the catfish and grits for breakfast. I was looking forward to what I thought would be good food based on the 4.6 rating on UberEats. I was terribly disappointed. The grits were horrible…I couldn’t even eat them; they were too undercooked. The catfish was salty and overcooked. The sauce tasted like crab boil flavoring mixed with heavy cream and salt…very heavy on the crab boil flavor. I was really not in the mood to cook this morning but, honestly, I wish I would have. Lesson learned.
