Hands down the food is delicious and interesting. We had good service, no one came around too often, just right. Definitely try the dilly bread! The tots were tasty, and my group really enjoyed the carrots, olives, Charlie and the pasta factory, nonno’s pasta, and quite a few cocktails! Music is fun, good volume, lights are slightly dim, allowing easy conversation without having to speak loudly. Definitely recommend! Oh, and even if you’re full, you should try the olive oil cake!!Vegetarian options: There are certainly enough options for a vegetarian like meParking: Either in the small lot or on the street in a decent neighborhood.

My bartender at McElroy’s Irish Pub highly recommended this place and I’m so glad my friends and I went. The menu is so interesting. Seems like normal upscale dishes but then you read the ingredients (things that don’t normally go together), and actually taste the dishes…. you will never have guessed that such an eclectic mix would turn out so well. They seem to have put nearly as much time into their cocktail creations as well. Our server (a long dark brunette, maybe black hair, attractive, well-spoken gal I’m terrible with names, sorry) was superb and the manager was super nice when he stopped at our table, (tall, handsome man, his name started with a Z, Zeb maybe?). Atmosphere is that of a house off the main road with a patio and excellent night-lighting; chic, quint, and while livelier during the initial dinner rush, quieted down a bit and I’d love to come back on a romantic date night.

My husband and I sat at the bar and had Nonno’s pasta, quail, raw oysters and wine. Highly recommend every dish we had. Phenomenal experience, both the food & service. Thanks Oscar.

Hands down, the best restaurant in Houston!Once upon a time they had short-ribs on hash-browns fried in duck fat. I still dream of that dish. Wish they’d bring that back.

I don't usually write reviews but I just can't let this one fly! I had a reservation today and was so excited and eager to try this famous restaurant out with my daughter. This was supposed to be her special send off back to school - to celebrate end of spring break. My daughter picked Nobie's and even though it was quite a drive from Cypress we didn't mind the trip.We arrived at approximately 5:15pm and let my daughter proceed to check in as I tried to find parking at the back of the building. Unfortunately, there was no space apart from the area allocated for trash so I parked there temporarily and went to the reception to check if they had any other parking space close by. I was told by the lady in front she'll find someone to help me. I waited for a few minutes until a guy (later got to know he was actually the manager, Zeb) came over. He just bluntly told me "you can't park there". I told Zeb that was exactly why I came over to check what other parking options were available. He angrily brushed me off and said "everyone does parallel parking and that's why you go to driving school." I went back and moved my car and circled around the neighborhood while my daughter was still seated at our table. I finally found a spot to park and went over to the reception again. I was told my table was already taken(which I understood) so should wait at the patio while they try to find me another table. Within a few minutes manager Zeb walked to us and said we either get our original table for 45 minutes or be seated outside. We told Zeb outside will be fine. We then waited for few more minutes to be seated. Our waiter came over and we ordered our drinks and first appetizer. While waiting for our drinks I went in to use the restroom. At the main doorway of the restroom, I encountered Zeb blocking the entrance. He told me there an issue and it needed to be cleaned. I saw someone walk into the restroom with a mop bucket. At this time Zeb was still in the doorway so after a few minutes I asked him how long the cleanup will take. He leaned forward and yelled my face, "I don't know!" At this point I was stunned at his unprofessionalism and rudeness. He then sharply turned to me again and said "I have the right to refuse you our service so you can leave after you use the restroom". I was beyond horrified at this point! I just walked out of the restaurant without using the rest room and called out to my daughter to pick up our purses so we can leave. I'm so traumatized by the uncouth behavior of a so called manager with zero managerial skills... if this is not racism then please tell me what it is! Martins and Sara Stayer (owners) if you happen to read this please help me understand why on earth you hired this guy to represent your company! Your manager needs serious basic customer service training!!!Im full of disgust to have this experience in modern America!I'm pleading with future guests to please read this review carefully !! If you're black like me please do yourself a favor and stay away. Trust me I love good high end restaurants and been to multiple where they respect your presence with excellent customer service! Beware and go elsewhere- they don't deserve your money!!!

This place was such a good find!! I went with a friend, but it would have been the perfect date spot. The food is incredible and the servers are so on top of it and had great recommendations. I'll be back with more friends next time to try one of the "HOV lane" dishes that's intended for 3-4 people. Definitely save room for dessert too. The pies are soooo freaking good.Parking: There's a small free parking lot in the back, but there aren't many spaces.

Just finished dinner here with my boyfriend, sister, and friend visiting from out of town. We parked down the street so it wasn't a far walk at all.I was greeted at the door by the hostess with a friendly attitude and she was attentive and efficient while setting up our table. I believe Valentina was our server and she was awesome, super informative about this restaurant and its menu as it was our first time dining in. I will say throughout the whole meal, I noticed how much everyone helps each other... Teamwork here is prominent and that is always a very nice factor to see when dining out.. Some places don't operate that way but it makes such a huge difference. Clearing plates, resetting silverware, etc. We were informed that this place has a smaller kitchen and entrees and other food items may or may not all come out together, we were encouraged to opt for a more family style eating. (They say sharing is caring... buttttt I'm greedy with food so I don't typically like doing that but that's just a me thing haha.)Food:• Beef tartare (app)• Pizza nuts (app)• Chickpeas (app)• Croquettes (app)• Sweet potato tots (app)• Monkfish (entree)• Charlie and the pasta factory (entree)• Olive oil cake (dessert)I think the highlight food wise was the Charlie and the Pasta Factory plate; I wish we all got our own plate of that. We also had the monkfish entree but I was not impressed. It's good, but not $48 good in my opinion. Portion sizes here are alright. The beef tartare did lack a bit of flavor but it was still decent. I did not like the chickpeas as I thought they had no flavor, my other three disagreed and liked them though. I love chickpeas but this one was dried out completely and just became all crisp. We had the croquettes as well which were good, my boyfriend thought they were alright. The beer-battered sweet potato tots app was my sister's favorite part of the meal. Pizza nuts were nice. I did not like the fish dip app but my other three loved it. We did have the olive oil cake for dessert which was tasty. I think it could have been more filling if we all had an entree each but we figured that if this is a more family-style experience that portions would be a bit bigger. For that reasoning, I give 4 stars.Drink wise, there was a special for all sparkling wine half off...... ;)There is definitely various flavors throughout their menu and while some of my table liked certain things and others not as much, overall we all still had a pleasant experience. They were unfortunately out of the dilly bread and all of the pies upon arrival, something I'll have to come back for as I've heard great things about. I wouldn't typically come back with friends, but I will throw this restaurant into the date night circle for my boyfriend and I. Very cozy, comforting and homy atmosphere inside.

Racist experience from the manager Zeb. Really unfortunate that such an esteemed restaurant is complacent in treating guests unprofessionally and with prejudice.

The manager Zeb is incredibly rude and unprofessional. Belittles customers and has ZERO manners. Definitely not the level of service I would expect to receive in a supposedly ”high caliber“ restaurant. There are so many great restaurants in Houston, spend your money elsewhere!

Really glad to have found this place. Music was amazing (mostly classic rock) with dim comfortable lights. Dilly bread and olive oil cake were out of this world. Lots of vegetarian options. Make sure to make reservation way ahead of time as this place is usually booked. We'll definitely be back.Vegetarian options: Olive oil cake and one other cake are vegetarian. Most other desserts have beef gelatin.

Came for the desserts but everything and I mean everything was amazing. The dilly bread was everything that I heard and more. The butter that comes with it was better than the bread. The Charlie and the pasta factory was the best pasta dish I've had in years. The desserts where the best ending we could have asked for the olive oil cake is a must have and you have to get a piece of pie. My dessert was so good I stopped eating it so I could enjoy it more from the comfort of of bed. True fatboi moment. Oh and don't forget the oysters and cocktails
