My sister suggested Oriental Gardens for dinner on my last visit with with the claim that the food was not only great but the portions made it inexpensive. I ordered their Hot and Sour soup which turned out to be one of the best I've had. It came with my Lemon Chicken Combo in addition to an excellent egg roll. The portion is more than enough for two people so now I get to take home my lunch tomorrow.

First time ordering from here. Portions are about 30% smaller than I've had from other restaurants. Fried rice was way too salty. Egg rolls had an odd taste, none of my kids would eat them. The coating on the sweet and sour chicken was so hard I couldn't chew it, had to peel it off just to eat the chicken. Definitely not ordering from here again.

Oriental Gardens is one of the most revered restaurants by Kingwood residents. It has been in operation for probably close to 40 years and never fails to totally satisfy on all accounts. You know all of the staff, they all know you, you run into people you know all the time, you schedule your birthdays and anniversaries there. What more could a restaurant do ? Awesome food! That's what.

It took a while to even get seated - like no-one in sight. Our meals were pretty lack luster. I felt it was fairly bland. The staff was grumpy. It was primarily two older gentlemen and it seemed they were annoyed that people were even there. I'm giving it one more star than I'd like because I want to be sensitive to possible difficulties related to COVID that we weren't aware of.

Why so many bad reviews? This Chinese food was sooooo tasty!! We got take out, two of the family meals for 4 and it was plenty!!! We even had enough for everyone to eat lunch the next day!! The man on the phone was very patient and we will def be making this our new Chinese spot as we are new in town and grateful it's only 5 minutes away. Oh yah - called in on a Saturday night and it only took 25 minutes for it to be done. This place is a total win.

Food is fresh, served hot and always consistent! This has been the best Chinese food I have found in the area. Typically order Garlic shrimp, salty crispy shrimp, Chicken lettuce wraps, black pepper shrimp is my favorite! Also chicken & broccoli. Jim (the main waiter) always asks what vegetables I like and they will customize your order to your liking! Great service here also.

So yummy!!! I ordered the twice cooked pork and my husband ordered the Sezhuan Crispy Chicken. The pork had wonderful flavor with bell pepper, garlic and onion. The crispy chicken had bamboo shoots which is my absolute favorite and the chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy. Thank you to the young man who took care of us over the phone and in person. I could tell he genuinely cared about us having a good experience. We moved in down the street so we are happy to have a great Chinese take out restaurant so close to us. We will definitely be eating here again!
