Totally commercial, not many options, especially if you don't eat bacon. Won't ever come back.

The Kolache Shoppe is a cozy, no-frills bakery that specializes in traditional Czech pastries. Their kolaches, both sweet and savory, are the stars of the show. The dough is soft and slightly sweet, providing the perfect base for the delicious fillings. Favorites include the classic sausage and cheese, as well as the fruit-filled options like apricot and cherry. The shop also offers a variety of coffee drinks to complement your pastry. Overall, The Kolache Shoppe is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic kolaches in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

It's the original and not to be duplicated by any other. A true staple of Houston and South Houston. Service is always on point, cleanliness at 100 and fast ordering. The coffee is fire. Get here early if you want to get a hold of those fajita kolaches. Those are bliss

As someone who has been almost hunting down the best places to get kolaches, I can easily tell anyone that this place has hands down the BEST kolaches I've ever had. They're fluffy, flavorful, fresh, and so so delightful! So far, I've had the sausage with jalapeno, the strawberry fruit kolache, the pastrami, the bacon and ham one, and all have been delicious!!

Good sausage cheese jalapeño kolaches! Tiny place with great coffee. Only outdoor seating with parking out front. Try the cinnamon bacon roll and sweet fruit kolache too!

This used to be our go to place for special treats. Stopped this morning and greeted by long line inside cramped area. Rude customers demanding lots of room to make their special coffee. There's not room for you to have a 10 x 10 zone of specialness. Grab your sugar or sweet &low and add it in the car.Door Dash person burst into door DEMANDING her stuff despite there being 15 people in line. She said she was on the clock and needed her stuff. Told to get in line. She started cursing everyone.Products were AWFUL. What the heck happened to product quality? Ordered Pina Colada and Bavarian Cream Kolache. Bavarian Cream tasted like Jello Instant Pudding, was definitely not Bavarian Cream. Pina Colada tasted like canned crushed pineapple, no Pina Colada flavor at all. Took a chance and ordered 1 oatmeal raisin cookie. All I can say is GROSS. Dry. No oatmeal raisin flavor. Inedible. We won't be goinf back anytime soon.

If you love kolaches (and klobasnik) and haven’t been here, you are missing out! Blueberry + cream cheese is so good. And sausage and cheese with jalapeño was delicious. I’ve tried kolaches all over Texas and this is one of the best without a doubt.

Excellent kolaches, including some combinations I've never seen elsewhere. Highly recommend!

Finally got a chance to try this place after hearing so many rave reviews over the years. We dropped by on a Saturday morning around 8:45am, and there were only a couple people ahead of us. We all ordered the sausage cheese jalapeño klobasniky, and my husband also got a cherry turnover. The klobasniky baggies had a nice weight to them, so that was exciting. The pastry roll was amazing!!! It was so soft and slightly sweet (?). My husband and I thought the sausage itself was a disappointment though. I read it's supposed to be an authentic Czech sausage, but the quality was just not there for us. It looked like any fat hot dog sausage to us and the flavor was seriously lacking, especially for being in Texas. My mom liked it though, and I didn't see any reviews complaining about it, so maybe it's just us. The cherry turnover was a hit. I would want to go back to try a different flavor of klobasniky and kolaches. Ambiance itself is casual.
