The service was what one would expect at an upscale restaurant. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. Cocktails and desert did not disappoint either.

Servant was detailed but after that she was rude when our order didn't meet her expectations with cheaper selections of wine or bar entrees. You need to understand we are there for date night and not business dinner with co tap !

Awesome evening! Table location was perfect in wine room - great ambience. Issac was excellent server - figured out our desired pace and met it perfectly. He was attentive, available, very knowledgeable, and (importantly) very friendly. Steaks were cooked perfectly, served sizzling, and the sides were delicious (and massive). The cheese cake was - well, Pappas' cheesecake - and delightful - probably qualifying for sinful! Costs are a little pricey, but in line with comparable cuisine and, may I say, WORTH IT! Totally look forward to next time!

We went here to celebrate our engagement and it was horrible. We have been long time customers of the Westheimer location and figured that this one would be the same in terms of service and quality. We were WRONG. Their service would have been great for a Saltgrass but considering the steaks here are $70 plus we expected excellent service. Further, every time we’ve celebrated at the Westheimer location it has been special. This location couldn’t have cared less that we were celebrating. We had to ask MULTIPLE TIMES to get our water refilled and they took a really long time to order any drinks. Also, this was VERY casual. If you want jeans and a polo you’d be better off going to an Outback or Saltgrass. Save your money and either go to the original (or any one of the numerous steakhouses in Houston) or go to Saltgrass if you want the same quality service and /or food. $1,000 later for 6 people and definitely regretting it. Will not be back. Go to turners if you want high quality service.

First thing, upon arrival with a group for a business dinner we quickly learned conversations would be difficult because of how loud the overall restaurant was and the close proximity of our table to others. The most dissatisfying was the steak. The seasoning was absolutely awful, heavy pepper and tasted like beef jerky. I will say that was judged by about 4 bites because the steak was so tough and full of gristle that we didn’t eat more than that. For the reputation and price I was the more disappointed here than I’ve ever been at a nice steakhouse. Outback had served me better ribeyes.

We took my husband for his birthday. It was our first time, and we were not disappointed. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was, though a little dark, was inviting and comfortable. The food was amazing. Between the lamb chops, veal, wagyu beef and lobster that we ordered, in addition to the wonderful sides, I couldn't tell you what we enjoyed most. The desserts were delicious, as well! All around, a great gastronomical experience. I must give special recognition to our personal server, Summer. She was phenomenal! Friendly, attentive, and above all, extremely knowledgeable about the menu. She really helped us make our selections. Our son has a seafood allergy and she was very aware of informing us of which items might have cross contamination. She treated our 13- and 11-year olds with the same respect as the rest of our party, and I can honestly say that she made our whole experience that much better. We will definitely be back, and hopefully we'll be able to have Summer as our server again.

My recent experience at this restaurant was disappointing. Despite making a reservation for my birthday/Valentine's Day celebration and requesting a special touch, the evening fell short of expectations. The table wasn't ready upon arrival, resulting in a 10-15 minute wait. Once seated, we waited an additional 15 minutes before realizing we had no assigned server. When approached, our server displayed rudeness and didn't inquire about our celebration or previous visits. Throughout the night, various servers handled our orders, cleared the table, and even presented a dessert with a "congratulations" message unrelated to our occasion. The service overall was subpar, and despite ordering a second round of drinks before entrees, they arrived only after we finished eating. This location has consistently provided unsatisfactory service; I recommend the Galleria location for a better experience.

Excellent steaks, outstanding sides and salads. Incredible wine selection. Good but not great service. Restaurant was full and waiters were very busy and did their best. Nice ambiance. Highly recommend.

Loved the restaurant, food and service. The only downside was the valet parking service, Houston Center Valet. We pulled up and the two guys at the valet stand just looked over at us and didn't move. We had to exit our vehicle and approach them in order to get service. We a similar experience when we finished our dinner. We did the automated checkout and waited the beyond the "6 minutes" wait time before we left our table. After waiting another 5 mins in the breezeway, seeing that our vehicle was not ready, I went outside to check with the two valets that were standing at the table. They had not even sent for our car yet. It took another 10-15 mins for our car to be pulled around. I realize this is no fault of Pappa's but since they contract with Houston Center Valet... they need to do better.

disappointed

Steak, crab Mac and Cheese and Brussels sprouts were amazing. Espresso martini tasted more like the beer they add and didn't have espresso. Recommend passing on the espressos and the milk chocolate mousse. Dessert was frozen and lacked flavor and the espresso was so overly extracted. Bad notes at the end but if we had just left after entree it would have been one of the best meals we've had at a nice steak place in Houston. Service was excellent.

Pappas Bris Downtown Houston food was excellent. Cocktails a bit skimpy, plates and prep excellent but we seemed to wait the longest for our food. Service was well attended, kitchen seemed a bit off, especially our order it took 30 minutes longer than others around us! But steak was excellent and the wedge salad ‘The Best' ever! Au gratin potatoes enough to share with 4 people and super yummy.
