Beautifully appointed, with lovely service. But menu left me scratching my head. Came here for what I guess was brunch, but menu was primary small plates with no protein. Best item was the carbonara.

Pastore has great food, amazing staff and the restaurant itself is beautiful! $1 mimosas on the weekends and all day happy at the bar! The $35 pizza and bottle of wine deal during happy hour is perfect for date night! The pasta is also one of my favorites as well as the oysters, which are also on the happy hour menu!

Service was very slow. When my breakfast sandwich arrived, it came with a long black hair from the lady chef. By the time the replacement arrived, everyone at my table was done with their meal. They compt my meal and offered a dessert, that arrived 20 min after it was ordered. I would not recommend this place if you arrive hungry. They only had one waiter, one manager, one chef, one sous chef, one pizza do person and a bar person.

Went tonight to celebrate a birthday. It's a one and done for us as it's nothing special. We ordered focaccia bread and 3 appetizers. The bread wasn't good at all. More like a cornbread texture and was overcooked. Top was brown. The others enjoyed the oysters and we all liked the fried anchovies. The tuna appetizer was tiny. Salads were good. The crab pasta was okay, my husband's pizza was ok, and the duck pasta was very, very gamey. We put on reservations it was a birthday, but we weren't offered a birthday dessert or anything. We didn't order one and instead walked over to the ice cream place across the street and had a wonderful ice cream. It's a pretty restaurant, VERY loud but just very underwhelming. Expensive for the quality and quantity of food. I had read other reviews, but we decided to give it a try, but were overall disappointed.

It is not a 5 start review due to parking situation. Parking is in a garage that’s not too close to the restaurant. We ended up parking on the street which was actually closer than the garage.Food was delicious! We shared the pizza and wine meal which was $35 for pizza and a bottle of select wine. Pizza bread was good! The mix of ingredients was perfectly tasty. Wine was a good pair with the pizza. We also tried their meatball starter plate. Meatballs were so soft and perfect tomato marinara sauce.

Really impressed with service - they went above and beyond. The fried anchovies were incredible - such a unique dish. We also did the Anduj duck, scallop, and pomegranate dish that was full of flavor. Loved this place! Service went out of their way to make sure my allergy was

Meh. Place was empty on a Thursday night, and by the end of our meal, we could see why. Service was meh, food was mid, build-out is gorgeous. Way too many better options for great Italian food in Houston.

We came here for dinner last Friday night with another couple. The restaurant itself is beautiful but the lighting inside felt very bright for the evening setting. The ambiance suffered from the fact that the tables were only at about 50% capacity throughout dinner. In fact, by the time we left at around 9:15 there were only 4 other tables occupied in the large dining space. No complaints about the service but the food was mostly lackluster. For dinner we ordered:Panzanella Salad - good but unremarkableStuffed calamari - I don't eat seafood but I hated the visuals of this dish and my dinner companions said it was overly fishySquash agnolotti - this was the one exceptional dish of the night. I loved it.Italian sausage pizza - Crust was crispy and had a great flavor. The pizza itself was quite good but it suffered from the fact that it was almost cold when it came to the tableBistecca alla Fiorentina - a sufficiently large portion of meat but it wasn't medium rare and was too tough for my enjoyment. I ended up giving my husband the rest of my portion.Carrots & Greens - Carrots were pretty bland but I enjoyed the greens.Overall, the service was good but the vibe was a bummer and the food just wasn't on par with what I expect for an upscale Italian restaurant.

10/10, would recommend. The mushroom pizza was excellent, and the orange juice in the mimosas tasted like the juice was squeezed fresh to order. Service was on point. The bartender was very attentive, and a man that I assume was the manager given his pressed coat jacket made rounds to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves. All in all a beautiful spot to catch brunch, and I can't wait to be back so I can check out their dinner menu!

This place was great. It's a beautiful space. The sommelier is five stars good. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Fun eclectic wine list. Service was very good. Food is pretty damn good. I want to come back and try the big portion stuff but everything tonight was good.
