So far, anything I have tried has not disappointed. The service can not be beat. They are friendly and attentive. My drink was replenished constantly. They gave us some very helpful suggestions. Everything was flavorful and perfectly cooked. I will definitely become a regular at this place.
Loved the kirby location but this location had crawfish! We got the Sichuan crawfish and the flavor was out of this world. Decently sized mudbugs and very well seasoned with zingy numbing mala spice and garli. Honestly will come back just for that and wondering if I can get the seasoning in a to go bag to keep at home.

Affordable and really tasty food! My bf and I almost backed out of dining here when we saw that the restaurant was empty but took a leap of faith anyway and I'm so glad we did. The food we got served with were made so fresh. We ordered the beef stew noodle soup, dandan noodle soup, garlic cucumber, and pepper twins wonton. Beef stew noodle is very rich with that beef-flavored broth. It came with fat noodles that were not overwhelming at all but instead was boiled to perfection and very flavorful. Dandan noodle is the perfect option if you're in the mood for a comforting, fresh bowl of noodles. The noodles were so so soft! The appetizer garlic cucumber was amazing! Pepper twin wontons have a really strong pepper corn flavor and came with fresh bokchoys. They have such a variety of choices on the menu that I cannot wait to try next time. Ultimately, the very best thing out of my whole experience in this restaurant is our wonderful server, Lewis! He made our dine in so easy. Lewis, thank you so much for your wonderful service!You gotta give this place a try!

We went several times before Christmas as I kept coming back for their pork belly noodle soup, which was absolutely delicious, prepared with the right balance of earthy umami broth and sweet cinnamon accents, and tender, fatty cuts of pork. I always had to ask for extra bok choi though. Their waitstaff were warm and attentive and provided lovely service. Then at the tail end of the freeze this year I tried a fish soup with white rice that swam in a gamey chicken fat broth seasoned with mouth numbing chinese peppercorn. The catfish filets were good but again I had to ask for more greens. It was not spicy, but by the fourth or fifth spoonful I could not feel my lips nor tongue, like a shot of novocain taking hold of my mouth, and the fatty chicken broth made me gag. I could not finish it. We went one more time yesterday and I tried their tofu pad thai. It was a plate of standard noodles with no variety of veg, no crunch, no bits of peanuts nor herbs, flavored with watered down ketchup. Again I had to ask for more greens, and when the bock choi finally came it was overcooked. Very disappointed. Not to mention the cook and waitstaff (different people than before) were yelling at each other in Mandarin. We'll likely not go again.

Best Chinese in Houston. This location is the closest to the original pepper twins/ cooking girl in Montrose. Robert is awesome and ensures that gluten free orders are made right. Finally found it!! Every New Yorker knows how important their local favorite Chinese spot is! After a few failed attempts here in Houston ( no shade) we happened to find this gem right in our backyard. I’ll just start by saying that the Dan Dan noodles are magical!! I hope and pray the owner can add me to his will only to inherit that recipe. Everything was just levels above anything we’ve tried here, very reminiscent of our favorite Ai Jiao back home in NYC ( miss you auntie). This is officially the newest member of our hard to get into “local regulars” list. Congrats on making it here guys it’s usually a tough battle but you passed the test with flying colors. The staff and who I assume is the owner were beyond welcoming which is always a plus in my books. Do yourselves a favor and come get some amazing food here!Dietary restrictions: Informed them I had a shell fish allergy and my food was perfect.

I have visited this store multiple times to taste his delicious fish flavored eggplant noodles and tomato egg noodles. Although the store is not large, the bathroom is divided into two separate male and female bathrooms, which are very luxurious and tidy. The dining environment is very comfortable, which is also why I often go there.
If you are looking for authentic Chinese food, this is the place to go!! I have to come here 3-4 times a week because of their great food and best service. Definitely recommend ?

Great steak cubes. I would not order takeout through Yelp though as it is managed by GrubHub and they charge extra just to order through Yelp. Unbelievable! Where is the disclosure that when you look at online menu through Yelp the prices are jacked up by GrubHub. Never again! Call their direct number to order.

I would say this was the best restaurant I’ve ever been. Relatively, the food here is not expansive at all. The mapo tofu is soft and smooth. The atmosphere was perfect, the cat at the front was cute and creative. I highly persuade you come here.

Amazing place! I went over their and ordered mapo tofu and fried rice . The rice is tasty and flavorful while the mapo tofu is spicy and silky. It's definitely a must-visit restuarant in Houston. We will come back to here soon.
