I ate here for the first time today and the food was absolutely amazing. My husband bought me a half of quarter BBQ Chicken, cole slaw and green beans. It was so much food for the price and I couldn't finish it all. I decided to save the rest to have it for lunch tomorrow.

Great quaint, little country restaurant with wonderful barbecue and southern sides. It is only open a few days out of the week, so be sure to call before you make the trip.

Where do I begin. My wife and I pass by Red Top all the time and never had a chance to stop. So, a friend had recommended going there so we stopped for some brisket. I really need to start this with a couple of high points. The place was spotless and boasts a 99 on the health report. It's small and quaint inside. Reminds you of one of those hole in the wall places with great food! The young girl taking orders was very pleasant and got the order correct and got it to us fast. Now I am really hoping that we came by on a bad day cause what we got does not equal the stars they have. We both ordered the "Beef" plate with two sides. The beef, or brisket as we were told it was, was shredded, which if you like it that way, it's fine. However, that's not how you serve brisket. It was also kind of bland. I'll leave the sauce out of it just because it's tangy. Not a tangy sauce fan, that's just me. The corn bread, although tasted good, was very dry even with extra butter. I posted a pick of the coleslaw for two specific reasons...it's green and had pickles in it. The potato salad wasn't too bad, and the apples were not overly sweet, so there's that. Like I said, I hope it was just a bad day!

Just left Old Glory Distillery, excellent tour, and asked for a lunch tip. Five miles off 24 is the Red Top BBQ. Small town clean efficient cheap.... Top notch food. Ribs, corn bread, two sides $11.25. Carry out or sit down. You won't be sorry.

I'm from KCMO area and am a bbq snob. This place is legit bada$$ bbq. Sauce is best I've had in 3 counties. I will go back, and there's no other bbq spot near Nashville that can even touch this place.

Drove a few miles out of the way to get some good BBQ and was not disappointed. The lady at the counter was very nice and provided excellent customer service. Excellent lean chopped pulled pork. Sauce is great and not so spicy that our 7 year old son did not enjoy it. He is picky but ate his entire sandwich. Baked beans, potato salad, and cole slaw are delicious - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Wife said the Mac & Cheese was delicious and recommends it. We bought the family pack and enjoyed it. Hoped for more of a dessert selection but the pecan pie was great anyhow. We will come back here again. Very thankful to find some great BBQ and in a beautiful area just across the TN/KY Border. CHECK THEM OUT!

We did a farewell luncheon on post (Ft Campbell) for around 25 people. After comparing prices and reading tons of reviews, we went with Red Top. Zero complaints. Every single person (Southern BBQ lovers includes) looovvved all of it. We did BBQ chicken, pulled pork, baked beans, potato salad and green beans. They gave us tons of food, and the only thing left over after everyone took a plate home was a bag of buns. I can recommend this restaurant without reservation. The meats were moist and flavorful. The BBQ sauces were both amazing. The baked beans were ridiculous (-ly delicious). There's more than just a cost benefit to spreading your search a bit outside of the immediate FTCKY area.

Spectacular little spot with amazing food and friendly service. If we are back this way we will go again! Had the brisket and the chicken, but great and the sides were perfect!

I pass by here all the time and one day I was able to stop in. Reminds me of the BBQ places where I grew up. Super friendly staff and the meats where delicious. The brisket was a little dry, but still full of flavor. The sides all tasted pre made or out of can. Otherwise it's great.

I really do not understand the rave reviews on this place. I had the pulled pork and chicken with 2 sides, greens and Mac and Cheese. The greens are out of a can and so is the Mac and Cheese, the kind they serve in hospitals. Absolutely no flavor in either of them. The meat was just ok nothing to rave about. The sauces were as plain as everything else, one tasted like straight vinegar and the other like ketchup. Perhaps the positive ratings are from folks that have never had real BBQ, greens or Mac and Cheese? I am not sure but thankfully the food was only $10 because I didn't even finish the food, threw the majority of it in the trash.

I moved away from TN 6 years ago this summer.... I STILL MISS MY RED TOP!!! Hubby has tried every trick in the book to get the same smoke on his meat here at home. No such luck!!! I Considering flying in, just for a nibble. Local family owns the business, super awesome folks! Sides are delish too. I recommend the pork (with bark cut in) and potato casserole.

This is my favorite BBQ Restaurant here in Tennessee/ Kentucky area. I recommend the ribs and mac & cheese. The portions are a good size and the price is very reasonable. I'll be back.

Enjoyed pork, baked beans and potato salad at the golf event y'all catered today at Clarksville Country Club. Was certainly the best I've had in the area. Will be visiting very soon.
