Food was ok, nothing extraordinary. Different is necessarily better. Steak came out raw not medium as ordered. Replacement came out well done. No pink. Chicken skewers were over cooked and dry. Passed on desert after disappointing main course. Service was good.

This is the second time I’ve been there, and it’s the first time I’ve given a restaurant in Houston 5 stars, and they truly deserve it. Finally, a restaurant that understands what truly matters: the food is perfect, showcasing just the right amount of culinary innovation, and they change the menu regularly. The service is also exceptional; the lady attending to us wasn’t rushing, and she knew the menu perfectly. Plus, it’s not overpriced like many other fancy restaurants in Houston. If I lived in the neighborhood, I would be there every week.

First time at Roost and we loved it! The fried cauli was amazing, but we expected that as it had apparently been a staple menu item for 12 years. Spicy lamb kabob was super tender and yummy. I will say my partner ordered the chicken and she was let down with her meal, there was some small bones in the chicken and she said our meals looked and tasted a lot better. Overall we would go back and id highly encourage this place for the intimate atmosphere and farm to table cuisine.

Always a fabulous experience. Excellent service (thank you Andy) and we love the food especially the fried cauliflower with pine nuts, the bread service with pimento cheese, the salmon, the burger and the chicken and gnocchi dumplings.

What a great spot with delicious food, comfortable seating and dinner mood lighting. We had the Argentine salmon and short ribs, and that yummy cauliflower for starter. Will totally be back. Bringing everybody. :)
Fried cauliflower is to die for. Crunchy oysters and mole tostadas were excellent. Bread service's low dough huge pretzel with two butters and pimento cheese is shareable and fun. Coffee and donut holes good as usual. Lamb kebabs were just ok, just meatballs, need more flavor. Great restaurant, great items to try and share with friends. Great wine prices for happy hour, all wine and beer (except sparkling) is 30% off.

And then there’s the food — which can’t be summarized in a Google review. That’s why we’re so late to leaving a review. We’ve been going to Roost for years, but think that it simply can’t be summarized by words on paper. And, while we’re regulars in the Roost dining room, we’ve also had Roost provide catering and rented the place out for our wedding dinner. At every step, Roost knocks it out of the park.
