One of the best spots for TexMex. They're open late. I've always enjoyed the food. You can make yourself an ice cream cone on the way out. Really good food. Really really good.

Good carnitas tejanas as ever - a Houston classic. Tasty margs too! A bit spendy but worth it.

Came for breakfast. Was brought chips and salsa which was cool.I ordered red chilaquiles and when I tried them, the “red salsa” literally tasted like tomato sauce that goes on a pizza. Was a literal slap to my face. I decided to ask for two extra cups (super small by the way) so that I could pour it all over the chilaquiles to give them the slightest amount of hope for flavor… made it about halfway and was just absolutely disgusted. The WORST PART is that for each MEDIOCRE salsa (don’t forget, they’re small) costed us 2.99 per salsa. That’s absolutely outrageous. I have never seen a Mexican restaurant charge for salsa. Will never come back again.

Wanted to try a different spot, a coworker suggested this restaurant. I wasn't aware that there's multiple locations?. Therefore, I chose the one closest to where I was running errands. The customer service was phenomenal. All the servers were very attentive. It began getting overwhelming they checked on you so much...lol...I ordered the steak nachos and since it was taco Tuesday; why not try the steak street tacos special $14. Includes 5 tacos with with charro beans (no flavor) ?. The steak was very bland, the nachos had bacon in which I didn't care for it at all. The chips & salsa was a hit! While you wait for your food your greeted with chicken soup. It was bland as well but a great gesture. Allot of menu items were over priced, especially the drinks. Overall I'm not sure if I'll return.

Spanish Flowers is a Houston favorite BUT when you are one person they don't pay attention. As a Professional Chauffeur in Houston for more than a decade I have brought this restaurant many many customers yet when I come here alone they don't pay much attention to me. Today I brought in a $100 and I am in the service industry...the restaurant is practically empty yet I have to get up to ask for what I want. Not once has the waitress asked me if I needed anything until i got up twice looking myself for what I want. Too Bad I would of given a great tip but nope I'm just going to sit here just enjoy the atmosphere. All these years I have decided to visit this restaurant they never pay attention to a single person eating, that's just flucked up. Edited:A single woman was seated and the wait staff were really attentive to her. So I spoke to her. Then her waitress asked me if everything was ok. I said NO I don't like my waitress would you be my waitress? She was very attentive to me and I tipped her well.

Amazing food. Great management. Quesadillas are tasty. Its reasonably priced. And the food comes in large amounts but ask the prices of food and drinks.

I used to be a regular there but on the past two visits the food and service was lackluster. Just had a crunchy beef taco there that had little to no flavor/no seasoning at all. Needed chili powder with garlic and cumino on it. Least they could have done was buy some McCormick taco seasoning and added it to it. Beans had little taste as well and the queso tasted like liquid spray cheese. My friend and I were very dissatisfied.

I have been coming here for a decade now and noticed some of their plates are not as consistent as they were back 4 years ago. Their Menudo is good. Thus, past Sunday, it wasn't as hot to my liking or other times. Not sure what happened, but overall, I still recommend it. Prices are decent and service is phenomenal. The chips and salsa are always good and their free "ice cream ?" goes down pretty good after a hearty meal.Vegetarian options: Mostly high carb options. Some are just drenched in cheese or sauce. Just depends on the mood the cook is in, I guess. Very small options though.Kid-friendliness: Food optionsWheelchair accessibility: Ramps and tables
