The first time I went was a couple of weeks ago. Me and my dad were greeted with a smile by Sparkle herself. She was very kind and hospitable despite running the front counter ALONE as orders kept pouring in and I truly admired that about her. I ordered the Loaded Baked Potato with grilled shrimp and it was literally the best I couldn't wait to get another one! So yesterday I called in my order and spoke with Cedric. Fine. When I went to pick up my food, he was just chilling at the end of the bar just casually chopping it up with another dude. He didn't acknowledge us when I came in with my dad. He literally paid us no mind, made no eye contact to where I had to yell over the counter to get looked at. He came over to the POS system, didn't make eye contact yet again, instead had his face in his phone and I told him my name for the order. While my dad was trying to pay, Cedric was still texting on his phone. So as I'm waiting about 4-5 mins, I wanted a cup of ice so I asked him for it and then he realized he forgot to give me my order! Turns out, my potato was ready on that counter the entire time but he was too busy chopping it up and texting that he didn't get it ready for me. So I tried to make light and jokingly asked him if he forgot about me, with a smile. He was a smart ass and said no, if he "forgot about me, I wouldn't have just got it my food". That was icing on the cake for me. Just rude. Sparkle herself is very professional and he is not. That's not a good look for her successful business to have employees like him. I will be back and hopefully she's there so I can address this concern and get treated as a valued supporter.

Sparkle's is a Houston staple that offers well cooked and well seasoned classics. I've never had a bad meal. Daiquiris are nice and strong too.

Never had a problem with this place before, but yesterday, the hamburger hadway too much salt in it. It was really inedible (but me being me, I ate 3/4 of it anyway)! . Got a serious headache from it on the drive home. Ordered Med rare and got rare.French fries were undercooked. Curtis, the cashier seemed uninterested in my comments about th salt.

Had the hamburger and baked potato just because I couldn’t choose, definitely their own meal. But the burger was insane, huge but not over the top, exactly what you need + fries would be settled. Daiquiri was fire, had a mix of Northside/Southside, definitely a crazy mix. My only thing is the shrimp was bangin, but this a personal preference of having the tails of so you can enjoy the whole shrimp flavor without the need to undo a tail, but that’s just me probably lol.

I called today 4/12/24 @ about 4:30 to place an order. I called right back to ask the amount of time it would take to prepare, and the rudest poor excuse of a person rudely told me she was not allowed to tell me on the phone, and I would have to come inside. I explained I had just called and I was having someone pick it up. She said nastily what else can I say and hung up in my face. These people were nasty in their old location and even nastier and slower now. That was my first and last visit, and so is this one. I later learned the wait is 40 minutes or longer.

Good food and service for a late night spot. We had fried fish with fries which was really good, burger with fries, and kool aid. Everything was great but the Kool Aid is overpriced save your money. Clean, delicious, good service, and flexible hours.
The food was HORRIBLE very bland barely any seasoning on the burgers wings was horrible taste like the cheapest sauce was used to make them AND CUSTOMER SERVICE was TRASH ! The cashier was rude they also are stealing money I bought a $2 bottle of water that came out to $3 ! I don’t recommend this place save your money and RUNNN !

I love this place and their breakfast platter. More so, the cheeseburgers are off the chain. WAY BETTER THAN TRILL BURGERS. The only downside is the cook ('gay black guy') who takes forever with the orders especially towards closing time. As a matter of fact, he was a cook at Jack In The Box at Wheeler Station (currently being remodeled) SO? His attitude needs adjustment. Besides, the owner is always cooking whenever she is not off. Other than that, it's an excellent black-owned business.Parking: Park at your own risk.

Stopped by craving a burger late at night. The daiquiris weren't the best. The only offered two flavors and I paid extra for a shot on top and it tasted strangely of hand sanitizer, but my partner seemed to enjoy. They make a decent burger, very homestyle. Might be a decent option if you're in the area and leaving a party/lounge nearby. Not my favorite place but the service was okay, the associate was friendly and the wait wasn't too long.

The food was GREAT. I had breakfast plate. Portions were very generous. My only issue was I was charged a fee to use my credit card when they could not break $100. I would have appreciated maybe a beverage to offset the fee
