I love this place. I get the borani bagdamam (sp?) Appetizer and it comes with a large section of fresh baked bread. The kabobs are seasoned well and the rice is amazing. I am new to Afghani food but it is quickly becoming a favorite.

Afghan food is a type of food that I was introduced to from coworkers who open their home to me and invited me over to try their dishes. I’ve been a big fan since. This restaurant demonstrates traditional dishes cooked with the same herbs and flavors as home cooking was presented to me.The food was sooo good. The fresher baked bread was excellent. All of the food is halal and full of flavor. I ended my meal with hot tea.I cannot say enough good things about this place. I can’t wait to come back with friends and try a bunch of their dishes together and make them shareable.

I don't believe I've had afghan food before so I decided to try this place out after having my car serviced nearby. I ordered online, each of their menu items have photos which was helpful. Upon walking inside, it was still early for dinner so it was empty but very clean and nicely decorated. I was promptly informed that my meal was still being prepared, I only waited a few minutes for it to be received. I decided to try Mantoo, a dumpling with a spiced meat filling served with a yogurt and a spiced ground meat tomato sauce. It was interesting but very good. I also ordered Challow Kabob. It's like a grilled spiced ground beef with onions. It's also served with a side salad, yellow basmati rice and a grilled tomato. I would compare it to a kofta maybe because it reminded me of the warm spices. Salad was a nice fresh accompaniment and the fluffy tender rice was delicious. I would like to return to try additional items.

DELICIOUS, authentic afghani food. I have had some of the best afghan food in NYC and it's hard to find places that are as good. Tandoori kabob house is my Houston go-to spot for tasty, flavorful afghan food. I ordered the Chapli kabob plate which was loaded with flavor, from the perfectly made rice to the well prepared kababs. I also tried the lamb shank plate, lamb was juicy and slightly smoky roasted flavor. Absolutely loved it and can't wait to order it again. Beautiful decorated from the inside with traditional afghan art. Great service as well. Please do give them a try and support local halal small businesses like them!

Food is always great, service is always horrible. On two separate occasions we were the only ones there, and there were 2 staff members available but they didn't come to check on us whatsoever, for anything. I had to get up and go to the counter to interrupt the employee on their phone to ask for things like napkins and refill on water.I gave it 2 stars overall because it shows how far customer service (or the lack thereof) can go.Front of the house needs serious training or need to be replaced.

I had never had a chance to have afghan food, so it was my first time, and OMG the Chapli kabob was “the” best kabob I’ve ever tasted!

We ordered lentil soup, chapli kabob( beef) and chopan kabob ( lamb). We didn’t exactly like the lentil soup, it was very different than what we usually have in other restaurants but the other two dishes were so good we went back for those again. I highly recommend this place.
